If you're a foreigner, be aware of a few things.
The smell. Although the smell didn't bother me too much, it can be off-putting to others who've never experienced this before.
The hygiene. While fruit and vegetable stands are OK, the fish and meat stands are not. They're hung out to dry on meat hooks for hours from the early morning until closing time. It's a good way to catch food poisoning.
The prices. I don't recommend buying things here as a foreigner unless you're with a local who knows the prices. Some people tried to charge me way more for fish or meat than what was normally asked for. Luckily, I went here with my uncle who knows the prices, so we didn't go for it. Read morethe price and items are good,but idont know if this is the real or the main public market in talisay city,they always changed the location of the sellers, and make new building to be used,..also their traffic flow are everywhere you must very carefull to walk due to the tricycle driver are suddenly running and some are overtaking,..i like to buy here due to the fresh fruits and veggies and verry affordable but the problem is where you could take a ride for puj(public jeepneys),..because you have to walk over 100m holding your things that you buy..and it was sad to see that there are some older woman carrying there heavy items just to have a ride,..i hope talisay city officials could do something...

As I write this review there are few portions of the main building which are not yet finished, and they are still doing it for total completion hopefully this year. Compared to some nearby wet market, this market has an advantage in terms of availability of basic commodities. In fact, this is where some other wet markets purchase their commodities for business.
