Hukad — Restaurant in Cebu

It had been our third time visiting the place and the experience was still not good. This time, we ordered crispy pata, pork sisig, dinuguan, pinoy spice chicken, sweet and sour pork, and bicol express.

Fifteen minutes after the waiter took our order, the baked scallops arrived. It looked good, except we didn't order that one. Another fifteen minutes, and two servings of the pork sinigang arrived, which, again, we didn't order. Five minutes later came the pork sisig. Several minutes after that, the bicol express. A few minutes after that, the sweet and sour pork. We could've started eating but there was no rice yet. A long wait indeed before we could have our dinner.

The food was just okay. I liked the crispy pata (really crispy!) and the sweet and sour pork. The sisig was okay; it was already cold when we started eating so I'm not sure if it would taste better when hot. The dinuguan tasted a bit sweet and a bit sour - not the usual dinuguan but still good. The bicol express and chicken had that common popular taste.

As I've described earlier, the service was bad in our experience. The staff weren't very friendly-looking, but they were attentive. The location of the place is perfect.

May 8th 2022, Being a foreigner to the Philippines. When we first arrived. Tables were dirty and left for sometime before they were cleaned. We sat down and ordered a picture of Iced Tea. Which took some time to arrive. We ordered our food. As it arrived I was sadly disappointed in the size of our meal. Someone on staff said it's good for two people. Unfortunately not. The price is overrated for this place. The serving small, the food tasteless. I had ordered Sweet Chili Chicken. " No sweet" and the chili wasn't even mixed into it. It was a tasteless meal, but when you're hungry I guess it puts something in your stomach. Overall. Not a place to visit. Once was enough for me...

Worst Hukad and one of the worst take away experience we had. Actual bill before senior discount was 384.00 but staff told my father it was 400.00. All in all it was only 274.29.

And for another, their Chicken Halang-Halang "Daku" priced at 199.00 barely filled one standard bowl while the Pork Bicol "Daku" priced at 185.00 was still not "daku" enough. Terrible serving.

Not worth your money or your time.
