We wanted to explore Davao on our own, so we headed there without booking a hotel or hiring a tour guide. Gusto lang namin na relaxed at adventure talaga sa Davao :D Arriving at Davao airport around 11pm, we checked Facebook for a place to stay and found Kampotel, which had really good rates. We met Mr. Joseph there, who showed us the super clean rooms with white linens and comfy beds. The hotel had a nice vibe, and the staff were really friendly, checking on us often. Mr. Joseph even helped us figure out how to get around Davao and Samal since we were doing our own tour -- Sya yung tanungan namin sa mga ruta ng jeep and yung mga tourist point na puntahin sa davao city, countryside at sa samal. He made our vacation awesome! Overall, our stay in Davao at Kampotel was relaxing, pero bitin kase gusto pa namin magstay talaga.. We'll definitely be back to Davao and Kampotel. I highly recommend the hotel because of its budget-friendly rates, chill vibe, friendly staff, and super clean rooms where you can relax after...
Read morePrior to leaving Butuan I contacted them via Messenger and made reservations. They confirmed there was a room available for me, so I committed to reserve that for me and I would pay once I am there. Afterwards I got a message stating I have to pay partial to reserve... Either online transfer or gcash. I have limited access and re-iterated to pay once I am there. Then I got a message.. the gist is.. no pay no room.
Got a message again... While I am on my way riding my motorcycle to Davao... That room is no longer available and they booked me on a bunk bed and shared bath... By the way I only read this while I was there furious that they bumped me.
So... No deposit on the single room got bumped... No deposit on the bunk bed.. but booked?!?
While talking to the receptionist.. she said... The reason the single room was not available is that their cleaner was sick and did not come in... So.. who is going to clean for the rest of the other rooms?!
Point is.. no money down......
Read moreVery bad experience at this hotel. Do not stay here it’s a mom and pop operation. Their breakfast is horrible. I ordered two sunny side up eggs. Both were overcooked, one severely. When I sent it back, they cooked it more. No juice, fruit, bread, butter, soy sauce, hot sauce, liquid creamer for coffee. They tried to convince me the sheets were comforters. I froze in the room last night. Very tiny rooms. They are not giving these rooms away. I have psoriasis. They said there was a small blood stain on the sheet; they charged 1000 pesos for this also. When I told them I wanted a late checkout at 1:00PM instead of 12, they charged me 100 pesos extra.. No wonder there are no other guests here. They are on their way out of business. No elevator either. A piece of crap hotel! Hotel is far from city in a...
