North Garden Suites — Hotel in Davao City

Ok, just got the chance to write a review this time. The attendant and security on duty were polite I would give it 3 star, the breakfast was Okay. This place is convenient to Bbq house, mall nearby, and transportation for all but NOT the hotel itself and the management. It's negative 1 star if I could only rate here that's because we are so disappointed at this place. The boarding house and dorms are better that this place. Here, filthy room: the drapes/curtain in the room is very old and dusty. The shower room needs major repair, the curtain has molds on it as in muddy yellow stained like. I even requested if they can replace it on that night or something that is clean at least even it's old ones. I spoke to the cleaning lady on duty/room service said, Ma'am we don't have one to replace it, otherwise if we will replace one, it needs to replace all rooms though we already reported the complain about it weeks/months ago to the manager/owner boss. Then, I said, then why they didn't acknowledge it and replace it if that so, its awful looking curtain in the bathroom you know it needs to bleach out the moldy on it. You know, the Mall is just right on the corner flyover the there is cheaper ones and maybe there is on sale at least simple decent and clean.This would reflect how filthy the business is. I still have photos of it, so ewww. If you guys need a proof I'll find that file in my hard drive. I am embarrassed to be honest. And honestly we did not take shower on that room. It was late at night to check out, we just passed overnight night and check out less than 12 hrs at this place as supposed to stay in 2 weeks more or less for the holidays. We did not get good sleep, we can hear the airplane engine right on top my husband has to put earplug still it's loud. We checked out in the early morning. Stayed here for 3 nights in February. The building is quiet and the staff is very friendly. Our room had 2 double size beds. Mattress & pillows were good. Bath towels were a bit old and worn out. The air conditioning was working well and the room was overall clean. Our bathroom shower had no hot water despite advertising that they had hot shower. We had to use another bedroom's shower to take a bath because there was no way the kids were taking a bath in cold water. So for 3 days we had an extended shower room which was a bit of an inconvenience. It might be a good idea to check if the hot water works before you get settled in your room. Also when taking a shower the hot water tends to ran out very quickly so be prepared to bathe in cold...

Very friendly staff and most of them speak fluent tagalog and english. Clean rooms, CR is a bit small but clean as well. Bidet is available. The place is conveniently located near fastfood restaurants and drug stores. The only oddity is that breakfast must be called the night before because if not, you end up with very limited choices. It's ok for the price. Another concern is that the room is not fully soundproof so you can practically hear the people in the lobby. Also the lock is a bit flimsy. But for the price, its...
