Terrible and unpleasant.
I initially booked through booking.com, confirmed via email, but the payment was processed directly with the hotel.
At Jet Hotel reception, I presented my confirmation for 2 nights in a Deluxe Double Room for ₱8,460. Reception claimed they hadn't received my reservation but said they could 'consider it booked,' then tried to charge ₱14,300 for 2 nights in a 'Deluxe Duo,' citing no cheaper rooms available for our stay.
We reluctantly accepted the higher price and opted for the Jet Black Suite (₱7,800/night, ₱15,800/2 nights) since the price difference was marginal. However, the receptionist charged us an extra ₱200 for late check-in, admitted her mistake, and proposed voiding the payment—causing unnecessary complications. We requested cash or a voucher instead, and she issued a handwritten voucher after some insistence. Be aware as they like to issue by word of mouth which is unprofessional and lacking diligence.
Room key issues followed: only one card provided, with an additional ₱500 deposit demanded for a second. Bizarre policy, but fine. Hotel communal areas appeared tidy, but customer service was non-existent. The receptionist was dismissive, unfriendly, and lacked basic courtesy.
The room was shockingly unclean—used toothpicks and tissues left, unswept floors, limescale-encrusted shower fixtures, a clogged sink, dirty towels, no aircon remote, and a poorly designed bathroom leading to leaks and flooding. The toilet clogged when we flushed tissue paper (unaware it shouldn’t be). Maintenance unclogged it while we were out but carelessly and as if accidentally chucked unused tissue roll in the bin. The sink remained clogged.
The same receptionist, later that night, informed us that they had received the booking.com reservation and demanded we cancel it to avoid fees. Unable to cancel due to the check-in date, I contacted booking.com directly, who resolved it promptly—contrast to the hotel's disorganized handling.
The breakfast buffet offered 7-8 options; food quality was average, but staff behavior was consistent with our stay—cold, unwelcoming, and staring us down. They queried our room number and whether we were checked in—confusing and unprofessional.
While two cleaning staff were kind and courteous, the rest of the team lacked any sense of customer service. Stressful interactions overshadowed our stay, making it...
Read moreOne is the lowest star I can give this hotel. This property is not bad but the management is and so is the food service. My primary disappointment comes from misrepresentation. We got in late and asked if we could extend our stay another day. We were told by two people it would be "No problem!" The next day we were told we could not extend. We told the staff what we were told and by whom. They responded that we could stay another night in a different room for more money. We requested a discount. It was granted but it was nominal. The next morning we had the free breakfast. It was awful. The staff did not know how to use chaffing dishes. The food was cold. Dirty dishes were left on tables. We were not offered water or juice. We got there early. One serving dish was empty when we got there and never replenished. Please note the pictures of the powdered eggs that sat in a water bath because they were not properly mixed or heated. I travel to the Philippines semi-regularly. I've stayed in many hotels, some great, some not but I've always enjoyed my stays. This was the worst experience I've had. I've paid far less for rooms with microwaves, tables with chairs and hot water. I give credit to the housekeeping and security staffs, they were wonderful. You can stay at the Jet hotel if you like. I, however, do not...
Read moreAlmost nobody wants to go anywhere during the pandemic but work may sometimes force us to leave the comforts of our home. This happened to me, my son + 2 more colleagues as we headed to Lipa for a 2N/3D business trip last July 28-30. Jet Hotel eased our minds with regards to cleanliness and sanitation of the hotel. The staff wore gloves while cleaning the room, serving the guests in the restaurant. They even provide disposable face masks and a mini alcohol spray bottle. The restaurant was quite spacious, which gave diners like me peace of mind while dining. The rooftop was an open space I can relax. There was a swimming pool, too. RDS-a popular department store was easily accessible from the hotel, offering the guests many food and shopping choices. There's also a 24/7 convenience store beside the hotel for any sudden needs even in the middle of the night. I'm sure this hotel would rake in guests if it weren't for the pandemic. Staff were courteous and helpful too-from the guard to the receptionist, etc. We truly enjoyed our stay here, not to mention felt safe amidst...
