My family and I had a wonderful stay at Pinegrove Mountain Lodge last May 2025. The location is truly stunning, offering cool, refreshing mountain air and panoramic views that create the perfect setting for relaxation. Our room was cozy, clean, and spacious, with comfortable beds and pillows that ensured a restful night’s sleep. We especially enjoyed spending time on the veranda, soaking in the peaceful sounds of nature together.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and since we visited during the off-peak season, the restaurant service was prompt and attentive. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating; I particularly appreciated their quick and helpful responses to my booking inquiries over the phone. Their efficient online booking and payment system also made reserving our stay completely hassle-free.

The lodge provides designated parking for their guests within the premises, which was very convenient. While there is also an open free parking area outside, it tends to fill up quickly, so arriving early is advisable to secure a spot nearby. Guests also enjoy free entrance to the adventure park and a 10% discount on rides and activities, which added excellent value to our stay.

Experiencing the Dahilayan area and its adventure activities is best approached with careful planning rather than impulsively. While budget accommodation options exist around the park, enjoying resorts like Pinegrove Mountain Lodge or Dahilayan Forest Park Resort means additional costs for entrance fees, rides, and activities that can add up quickly. Therefore, it’s important to budget ahead of time to fully enjoy the amenities and adventure offerings without unexpected expenses, ensuring a well-organized and satisfying visit to the area’s popular mountain attractions.

For future visitors, it’s worth noting that afternoon rain is common in this area, so planning your activities accordingly is important, especially since rides and attractions close by 5 PM. Be prepared for some walking on hilly but well-paved paths, so comfortable shoes are highly recommended.

It’s also important to understand that Pinegrove Mountain Lodge operates separately from Dahilayan Forest Park Resort. They have different management and entrance fees, so if you plan to visit both areas, be prepared to pay separate fees. Additionally, the lodge enforces a strict no-smoking policy, which contributes to a clean and family-friendly environment.

The convenience of being inside the adventure park is an added advantage as it waives the entrance fee if you book a room, allowing guests to maximize their time and enjoyment.

The rooms at Pinegrove Mountain Lodge are highly commendable. I had the pleasure of staying in the Deluxe Suite and Family Loft. The Deluxe Suite comfortably accommodates 2 to 3 people, with a queen-sized bed and an additional regular bed. The room is spacious, equipped with hot and cold shower facilities, and features an efficient air conditioning system. On the other hand, the Family Loft room is ideal for larger groups, capable of accommodating up to 5 or more people. It offers a total of 5 beds and a hot and cold shower. Both rooms also provide the luxury of a balcony, where guests can relax and enjoy the surrounding scenery.

The room service at Pinegrove Mountain Lodge is exceptional, ensuring that guests' needs are promptly attended to, creating a pleasant and convenient stay.

It was a last minute reservation I made for my family. We were to drive from south of mindanao to the northern part of the island and decided to stay overnight in Bukidnon specifically in Dahilayan (After suggestions from several friends and relatives to not miss seeing the place) . Since we were not familiar with the area, Pinegrove Mountain Lodge seemed to be the perfect choice to stay for the night since it is within the Dahilayan property. We felt lucky to be able to get the last two rooms available on the date that we will be there. The pictures of the rooms in their website looked nice and clean- very decent. We arrived in Dahilayan around 7pm exhausted after a long drive and ready to hit the bed. My niece and I got the room in the lower floor of the main building, room # B3 ( the last room to the right side and closest to the emergency exit) to be precise.As soon as we entered the room the site and smell right away spelled Trouble! What was supposed to be a restful and dreamy night turned into a nightmare. The room had so much molds and the smell was horrible that we slept with masks on. We also slept with our heads on the foot part of the bed since there were molds visible above the head part of the bed and on the headboard itself. The slots of the air conditioning unit where the air goes out were so dusty and also the table lamp. When morning came, I drew the drapes that covered the glass window and sliding door to open the latter for fresh air. To our horror, the flimsy white curtain behind the drapes was in tatters and so dirty! It’s so hedious, so disgusting, repulsive and hard to believe that a considerably “decent “ hotel put paying guests in a dump like this! On top of that our floor towel was like a leftover from a once hungry rat! No enough complaints could even ever get the management to address this very concerning issue. Thus this long review. I’m attaching some pictures for people to understand more how horrible our stay was and to avoid this place when you plan to stay in Dahilayan for more than one day . Very sad and so regrettable.
