Carpe Diem Hotel and Villas Palawan — Hotel in Puerto Princesa

Location wasn’t the best. Not walking distance to the main road and there weren’t many shops walking distance from the accommodation.

Room was decent but felt a little too close to neighbours so you can hear them quite easily especially if they are loud. Quite a lot of flies in the toilet as well. Would be great if they can provide repellent in the rooms.

Service was great, staff were all very friendly and you can contact them through WhatsApp. One thing to flag out was that they asked if we wanted house keeping before we headed for our tour which we said yes but we came back with our room unmade. When we asked them about it, they said they didn’t have spare keys which was strange. But they were quite to offer to clean up our room immediately but we just opted for clean towels.

*there were many cats on the compound too which are super cute but not for people who are afraid and they may run into your room when you open...

One of the best hotels I've experienced in Palawan so far. The hotel's proximity to Robinson's is convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully designed, exuding Bali vibes. Upon entering, it feels like stepping into a jungle adorned with beautiful plants and sculptures. The large swimming pool, featuring a unique statue for each room, is impeccably maintained. The poolside bar serves fantastic drinks and burgers; the cocktails are particularly delightful! The staff and owner are exceedingly kind and helpful. They arranged a memorable full-day tour, complete with lunch, to the underground river. Additionally, we embarked on our first scuba diving adventure with them, which was both amazing and breathtakingly beautiful. We stayed at Carpe Diem Villas for 3 nights in a pool access room, the room was lovely and clean and the staff were amazing, but unfortunately I can only give a 3 star rating due to the restaurant.|On arrival we had lunch and we were the only diners there, my husband ordered Spaghetti Bolognaise and I the Croque Monsieur, my husbands pasta came out cold and under cooked (inedible) and we had to send it back, my lunch was just passable to say the least, it was also not very warm..|We returned that night for dinner full of optimism only to find it was still way below average, my husband ordered shepherds pie and it was full of gristle, my Beef Burgundy was very dry and overcooked, we both could not eat our meals…|It’s such a lovely little resort with beautiful staff, but the kitchen really needs to...
