Larmar bed and breakfast — Hotel in Puerto Princesa

The owner of this place is lovely. Yes this place is a work in progress but what is available now is far better than anywhere we have stayed during our trip to the Philippines. The room was clean and bed comfy. At £9 for a double room including air con, breakfast and a free airport transfer this was excellent. The breakfast was delicious and included very tasty home made bread. The whole place as an amazing vibe and the setting is wonderful. They have plans for dormitories and a family room which were in the process of being constructed and the owner advised that they were hoping to install a small pool to the rear of the property. |The beach is a short distance away and there are a few beach clubs close by where you can access the beach.|We had our evening meal here and it was very nice and there was adequate choice on the menu. |As we were waiting around before heading to the airport the owner arrived with donuts for everyone which was really kind. |We were only here for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Very nice owner and all of the staff / family were very helpful during our stay. ||The only downside was that this property was a little hard to find as the directions on various online maps puts the accommodation in various places along the same road. Our driver (not from the accommodation) eventually gave up and asked us to get out and get a trike. I stayed for 10 nights it was amazing, the room was just perfect and had everything I needed. As the other review says it is a work in progress, but the staff are amazing and are so helpful from getting about the area, to booking tours they will help you in any way they can. The food was excellent in the evenings and the locally made bread at breakfast was to die for. All in all its just outside the city so is a bit more rural a very short walk to the beach or a 50 peso trike ride to the city.
