Green Turtle Backpackers Guesthouse — Hotel in Puerto Princesa

We could not have had a better experience at this hostel! The service was INCREDIBLE and it was by far the cleanest hostel we have been to! Stephanie and her amazing staff are SO helpful and go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant and stress free stay. We went to El Nido after a quick stop over in Puerto Princesa and had decided to come back to Green Turtle for a couple more nights because we felt so welcomed. Stephanie booked us our van and arranged everything for us (she even paid 1000 pesos of her own money for our trip in good faith that we would pay her back), she even made the driver come back for us because he had arrived early for pickup and tried leaving us until the next van departed. Stephanie took us out to a local bar with live music and good vibes and we even sang along on the mic wwith some of her other staff! SO MUCH FUN! Not to mention, when we asked her how much we could pay towards the bill at the end of the night, she wouldn’t let us! Said it was their treat (her and Teddy - he was an angel too!) Would 100% recommend this place and will definitely be back on our next trip to the Philippines. Oh, and TRY THE JACKFRUIT DISH THEY MAKE! Best 30 pesos...

This hostel is simply amazing. The stuff is so welcoming and nice, especially Stephanie, she helped me out so much and she was so kind to me. I didn't feel comfortable in my doorm because of another guest and she changed me to a private room without making additional charges. Always caring about how my day was, giving me tips..just being so friendly and kind. The hostel is also very clean and the location is good with some nice restaurants in the proximity. Would definitely recommend. The only thing that it lacks is a more comfortable common area, it only has tables and chairs. But even so it is really spacious and nice. Super close to the markets but far from like everything else! I was able to book cheaper tours online than what the hostel offered. Rooms were fantastic with AC you control, privacy curtains, comfy beds, and seperate shower/bathroom areas but the water pressure sucked. Loved the upstairs and downstairs ambience for digital nomads and there was enough of a breeze that I wasn't missing AC too much when I left to room to hang out.
