La Mer Resort — Hotel in San Fernando

Our family loved going to beaches and this summer we decided to looked for another resort and not go to our usual spot; thus we found this resort. Bad choice I must say. We booked one of their apartment units and another unit good for 6 persons. Although the unit looks promising, ac is not working so good. Another disappointment is that their tap water is salty as hell(asked about it and was told, all other resorts have salty tap water, nuh uh not all resorts have salty tap water!!). So we had to buy another gallon of water since tap water is not good for cooking. You can't even have a proper shower since the water is so salty it's like you just came from the beach!!! After meals and rest, around 5-6 in the afternoon, went to their only pool for a swim but we noticed it was already dirty from sand, leaves and what not. We asked if they will be draining their pool for cleaning and once again was disappointed when we were told that they do not clean the pool because they just put...

Sayang yung place, the location was great and wide but is poorly maintained.. goods naman yung landscapes wala lang talaga cgurong pwedeng maglinis. The pool?i dont know whens the last time it was cleaned. Going to the beach was spooky.hehe...and there were so many dogs and dog shit, (that might be mixing with the waves but well thats life...wahaha..).and the scattered remains of corals and shells massaging your feet for a few step (which is ouchy) before dipping in for leisure...Oh! But the sunset view was spectacular alright. The apartment however though old, needs improvement like stuffing trashbags, updating the furnitures, and cleaning the surrounding the area😊...No problem with AC, Hot/cold shower, gas tank, kitchenettes and...

Went here for a late lunch, and also to see about possibly checking in on a return trip in the future. The food was good, but the rest paled in comparison. The entire place was clean, but they seem to have employed a cost-cutting strategy of having the barest acceptable minimum level of operation if there aren't any guests checked in. Male comfort rooms had no water, the pools had very clearly not been cleaned in a while, and there were only three staff members ready to serve in any capacity, with the fourth staffer at the front desk presenting a rather unwelcoming attitude. While this might once have been something of 'the place to be', that time seems to have been quite a while ago, and there are plenty of other options...
