I lived in Australia for awhile and had my fair share of good seafood in Restaurants and cooked by myself. The seafood in Castaway is rubbish and not worth the money. We had the seafood platter B for PHP 1185. I know what's available on the local market and the prices. The platter looks good and kind of impressive when brought to the table on first sight. But after sampling, here are the biggest failures: 1. The black Mussels were the smallest available on the market which I bought for less than 100 PHP a kg. The rate of empty ones is extremely high. I had 6 and 8 empty Mussels in a row. And no, they didn't fall off and were on the bottom of the plate. 2. The green Mussels, good in size, but almost uncooked and quite cold. 3. The shrimps, good in size, but impossible to peel from overcooking. 4. The waiter forgot the fork and spoon. 5. I handed him the menus after we ordered, he refused to take them and said 'i will leave them in case you order more'. It was a little odd, since almost all waiters in normal restaurants take them upon order is complete. Even if it's not their habit, I would take them since the customer asks so. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing and a lot of effort was put in the restaurant. The location is great. It's a piddy to see that it is all put in jeopardy by staff without proper knowledge of the hospitality business. I wouldn't spend a pesos there again. And I would say, if someone rates the seafood there as good or great, he has no idea of what he is talking about. I wasn't wondering that the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night.

This place is nice for people who likes privacy with a beach view. Kinda pricey but it was worth it for us. We bought the boodlefight-D, the taste wasn’t too salty- as we wanted it, much healthier than the ones too spiced. Their customer service was good, every crew was kind and accommodating. I wish the weather was better when we were there tho. I think this place looks amazing during sunset

Our go to restaurant for seafood and boodle fight cravings. Great to bring family, friends and workmates. Separate kubos are also perfect with backdrop of the beach.

Ambience was nice. Okay naman first try namin, our kids waited for the fries until magbill out kami knowing na wala na babalik pala. They said to follow. They didn't say sorry about this. They even laughed about it. Seafood doesn't have a taste. They said its cajun but it doesn't have seasoning. Mas masarap...
