I recently finished conducting 2-day workshops for 100+ participants over a 4-week period in this establishment.
I decided on a live-out arrangement since I just lived a few kilometers from the place. It was also my first time to visit the place.
Here is a summary of impressions and observations during my month-long visit:
Every employee I encountered was friendly and conversational - including the VP of Operations.
Air-conditioned rooms are standard, but well-maintained. The establishment can accommodate 60 or more people on a given day.
Water supply is ample, and water pressure is stable. Basic entertainment is satellite HD TV. Doors are equipped with a keycard system.
Parking space is ample. For those who use motorcycles, it’s a good idea to have a motorcycle cover to protect your ride from extreme heat or the usual rainfall.
The location is several kilometers away from the main highway, so commuting can be quite challenging.
There are swimming pools for adults and children. Relatively clean and safe. Always a good idea for adults to supervise the children when in the swimming pool area. No assigned lifeguard.
There is a lounge area and bar near the pool. Provision for socials + videoke is available. Please observe the “10 o’clock pm rule” (no more videoke, sorry! 🙂)
Ample open space is available for small and big teams to conduct their team building or bonding activities. They also have a big indoor space with three full court basketball courts. The space can also be used for badminton, volleyball, and other team games or activities.
There is also a dining area located in the Recreation Area’s ground floor. Upstairs, there is an air-conditioned space as well (this is the venue where I conducted the workshop for the client).
There is also a gym located on the ground floor. Ample restrooms are located in the Recreation Area.
Food choices are localized. In my entire stay, a variety of dishes were served - probably chosen by the training provider based on the given budget. Some dishes to my recall were:
-Nilagang baka (supposed to be served as a soup, but was actually a meal because the meat portions were generous) -Chicken (adobo and afritada) -Mixed veggies -Carbonara and spaghetti -Burger, sandwiches, and fries -Turon, cassava cake, puto, and kutsinta -Fried Tawilis (must try!) and Fried Galungoong -Egg, hotdog, tinapa -Lomi (legit!), pancit canton / malabon, mami,
(I know i may have forgotten some, but most of it is there haha)
In relation to #4 and #10, bringing of outside food and beverage is allowed, but kindly let the staff know (courtesy is always appreciated) and please clean up well before checking out.
Brizo is ideal for family weekend getaways and team workshops / activities. While it is not located in Tagaytay’s more popular “hotel row,” its distinct theme and friendly service definitely puts them in a position to establish a loyal following for current and...

What We Liked: • Friendly, helpful, and accommodating staff • Rooms come with a mini fridge with complimentary bottled water • Clean albeit basic room — nothing fancy, but acceptable for a budget hotel • Clean bathroom with decent water pressure even on the third floor • Free additional pillows upon request • A gym with a decent number of free-to-use equipment • Covered court with 3 full size basketball courts that can be converted into volleyball courts, badminton courts or racquetball courts, all free-to-use • Game room with foosball, table tennis, and a billiards table, also free-to-use • Decent size pools (both adult and kiddie) • Ample parking
What Could Be Better: • Outdated TV — wasn’t smart and only comes with Cignal with very limited channels; no YouTube or Netflix • Wi-Fi only at the lobby and pool area, which is a disadvantage to guests on the second and third floors • Very limited menu of their restaurant, and the food was average and, considering the mediocre quality, was WAY overpriced • The included breakfast was only pork tapa silog, no other choices • No hooks in the bathroom where you can hang clothes • The pools aren’t heated, a challenge on Tagaytay evenings • Ant infestation in the game room and gym • Non-functioning water heater in the bathroom (room 314), • No exhaust fan in the bathroom — just a window — so ventilation may be a problem after use • No elevator, which can be difficult for senior citizens and PWD guests
Final Thoughts: Overall, Brizo was a decent and budget-friendly place for a quick getaway. The staff were great, the amenities (game room, gym, covered basketball/volleyball/badminton/racquetball courts), and the rooms were clean and comfortable. That said, there are definitely some areas that could use improvement — especially the Wi-Fi, very limited food options, lack of an elevator, outdated TV, and general need for upgrades and upkeeps. Still, for the price, it delivered what my family needed, and had an enjoyable stay. Just go in with the right expectations, and opt for food delivery (or bring your own food) and you’ll probably enjoy your stay like we did without...
Read moreStaying in Brizo Hotel Tagaytay is a good way to waste money. We were so disappointed. Worst experience so far of our 4 days Christmas vacay. Flaws that I noticed are: Room - our room’s aircon is not properly working, no table and chairs, the blanket is so thin, the TV has no audio, and has no enough power outlet.
Food - when we try their restaurant, we’re surprised to know that there are only 3 available food in their long list of menu. Crispy pata, fried chicken, and the other one that i already forgot. So we just decided to eat outside and we drove 7km just to have something for dinner. Then in morning, we’re hopeful that something good would come out from their prepared breakfast. And tada! Just a tough tapa, Steamed rice (looks like NHA rice and not fried) and 1 egg. The plate they let their guests use is melamine or semi plastic and the spoon and fork is so thin that easily bends when used to their tough tapa. The utensils are the ones usually used in carenderias. Lastly, it took 37minutes before my son gets his ordered iced tea (nakakagalit talaga).
Security - no guard posted at the gate to guide the incoming guests. Guests are on their own, just go inside directly as the gate is forever open and inquire directly to the CS desk. And, nobody from the Brizo Personnel are trying to stop those who are shouting, screaming, and horsing around that affects people like us who wants to relax and have a good sleep.
Internet - only at first floor in front of pool. No internet in 2nd floor. Smart is no good. Globe is okay.
The only good things that calm our disgust are:
The basketball gym (it made our son happy), the pool is 7/10, the CR is somewhat fine. Service crews commendable for their politeness and attentiveness.
All in all, we will never ever go back to...
