This resort is not for fussy travelers or those looking for a quality accommodation. Note that you get what you pay for and this is one of the cheapest accommodations in Silang and Tagaytay areas. If you don't mind sleeping in nipa huts, with small TV sets and weak cable signal, and small bathrooms, then you might appreciate this resort. My children didn't like it at first but after dipping in the pool, roaming the resort grounds, and a trip to Skyranch in Tagaytay, they hit the bed early, without time to complain about the TV, the dim light, etc. The food was delicious and flavorful - kudos to the cook - and the serving size was just right. We stayed in an air-conditioned nipa hut with a small terrace/porch. My husband and I had drinks and pulutan at the porch while gazing at the night sky. There's hot shower even if the bathroom was small. We brought our own blankets and pillows so it didn't matter that there were only 2 pillows and thin blankets in the room. We also brought our own towels. The hotel towels were clean and smell fresh, but you can tell they were a bit worn. The pool is not for children below 2 feet. The children's playground had dirty and worn-out slides and swings, so the kids didn't bother to play there. But they were entertained by a caged monkey in the premises. There's ample parking space too. What I liked about this resort aside from the food is the tranquility of the place. The ambiance is that of a remote province, but it's not really remote because a few yards away, when you exit the resort, is the highway. By the way, do not use Waze when trying to find the location, as it will take you to a diff. place, still far from the actual...
Read moreWe attended a kiddie party at Oyster Forest Life Resort and had a chance to go around the resort. They have simple nipa huts for accommodations with very basic facilities such as room, sink, receiving area and toilet. Some of the huts at the far end of the resort are not well-kept and needs much repair. There were also quite a lot of mosquitoes in the area because of the terrain so be sure to bring insect repellent lotion. They also have a small kiddie pool which appeared not have been drained and cleaned for...
Read moreNobody in off, phones don't work, telephone #to off is not working, off duty staff shows up at 1 am and starts drinking, making noise and singing karaoke. When asked to turn it off, they just turn it down but still noisy. Security didn't say anything to them until 3:45am but the damage was done, nobody could sleep. I hope nobody ever stays here again, I know my family and Facebook friends will never...
