This is not our first time here with my husband. Before when there's just the two of us, we actually got to experience nice and clean rooms everytime we checked in which was a lot way back. I don't know what happened now. Oct 7 2016 we have two kids now and we were given a family room somewhere in the 3rd floor. The room was clean and nice. Staffs that were on duty were very accommodating and nice. Today we came back October 31 we arrived at around 1230pm. There were two front desk personnels. I know there were three of them but the other one is dashing in and out of the booth (Not same people from the last time. ) so it's just the two of them. Both were more mature looking. The other one who's wearing a uniform she's busy talking with someone on the phone regarding the brownout situation they've been experiencing since that morning. So i was left alone with the one who's definitely not friendly (not wearing a uniform). I inquired if we can get the same room that we've availed before. Even not same room but same rate of 1500 its OK. She said "wala mam kasi di pa nalinisan." I said willing to wait here and asked her if what time could they finish to clean the room up.she frowned and yelled at a service boy to go check if the room is already OK. Without even saying to pls wait a bit, courteously. She left me standing there. Without saying a word.So the service boy came back and said out loud that the room is not cleaned up yet because the night shifters didn't do their job. The kids were already grumpy so I said I'll take the room that she gave me earlier. When she called the one talking with a phone earlier, thrice,to give me my change, that woman yelled "ano!?" So i just simply took the key after getting my change.Room 431. We went up the 4f. My first time to be in this floor. First thing u see when u reach the top stairs is a storage room with shabby old furnitures along the corner.so I said its OK. When we got to our room it's clean. But the bath room smells and the walls are all grimy and dirty. I had to remove the curtain shower coz.it smells.of urine badly. No towels. No soaps. No floor mats along the bathroom. I called front desk,twice, for them to bring towels. What happened here? Staffs before were a lot nicer, specially front desk personnels. While passing by a staff cleaning up a room I can smell the Contents of the mop pail, like in the sewer. And she's just OK with it mopping the floor of that room. So I asked my kids to wear.slippers even inside the room. Seriously owner/s? This place has a sentimental value to us. I know there are still great rooms in this place though. We love the quietness and location. It just saddens me to see it like a cheap motel because of grumpy staffs and inefficient maintenance team. Read moreVery very bad experience with this hotel! I made a booking for my sister's family with 3 kids. Before I made a downpayment, they showed me the family room which is good for 4 adults with 2 big double beds. Since the room as well as the beds, I already made a downpayment and they've issued a receipt and the room number is RM 314. On the day of the check in, since my sister will be checking in late at night, my dad went in the hotel to inform them that they will be arriving late at night about 9-10pm and so they are aware. Upon checking in my sister told them that Rm. 314 was already booked, and the front counter told them that it was already taken and so they changes the room to Rm. 326 so my sister accepted because she doesnt know that Rm 314 is bigger than Rm. 326. Luckily my sister gave me a call telling me that the room was very small with 1 single bed and 1 double where infact ut was supposed to be a 2 big double beds! Eventhough it was already late I really went there to fix things with them, and the front counter was telling me that there was no endorsement from the previous staff who was on duty where infact the booking was made 2 days earlier and take note we do have a written receipt with the room number! There was a staff who was telling the front counter that we booked that room and why they've given it to someone else! And so I did not allow them to just put my sister's family on that small room, how can their children sleep well in a small bed! One more thing when they checked in there were no soaps and towels on the room because according to them all towels was used up! They've given a towel which was untidy and still wet! I just hope the hotel will have a proper endorsement and a logbook so they will know their bookings! And I just hope that will stock more...
Read moreI've stayed in Ivory for three days, in two different rooms, the first room I stayed at was okay, it was small but it had a spacious bathroom which I really liked, the second room was better and a lot more spacious, but the bathroom was smaller. Service is good. The staff is helpful, they're up to a standard of level of service I expect, neither above or below however the reason why I gave this Hotel an extra star is because of their food selection.
