Party of 6.||||Had a wedding about 1 1/2 hours away from Poznan, but our accommodation wasnt ready at the venue until the day after our flight, so we booked in 2 rooms here after reading reviews on TA.||||We booked two 3-bed rooms, and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The rooms were immaculate, with a decent sized bathroom, hanging rails, tv. Beds were lovely, and bottles of (sparkling) water were included.||||We included breakfast on our booking, which consisted of a typical cold buffet-style in the basement. Cold meats, cheese, cereals, toast, etc together with apple and orange juice, tea, coffee.||||The staff were really, REALLY helpful - the receptionist on duty for us spoke very good English, and gave us directions for shops, food etc. As we weren't due to travel to the venue until 2pm, they very kindly let us use a room for our luggage after the checkout time (which is 11am), as the room wasn't rebooked for that day. They also did not charge us for this!||||The title of "hotel" is a little mis-leading - it is essentially a B&B. There are no facilities other than the offering of breakfast, so it is more of a stopover or a base. However, the fact that the building and rooms are spotless and well maintained, the staff are friendly and willing to do anything they can for you, would give it a much higher rating than the two stars...
Read more2* is too low category for this hotel. And it's closer to guesthouse than hotel because of the capacity (11 rooms) and guest care by staff.||Located at residential area in semi-detached house looks typical for Polish '70 construction - nothing special. Surroundings? Detached houses.||Hotel has small (5-7 cars) own safe parking on the backyard.||Rooms are very clean and big with dimensions rather for 4* than 2* hotel :). The bathroom was very clean too. White towels was fresh. Bedlinen too. Good mattress.||Breakfast? Poetry :). Located on basement level breakfast room is nice and chamber. Buffet? Quite diversify, typical for rich 3* hotel then 2* :). Everything fresh. No cakes or sweet-rolls on the buffet, nobody offer the scrambled eggs. Warm dish? Sausages only. Coffee? Instant coffee only. There are lone breakfast minuses - not too big to be fully satisfied, so I'm satisfied :).||Gold hotel is inexpensive accommodation proposal in Poznan for both: business travellers and tourists in budget segment. Offer much much more than...
Read moreBooked at short notice, picked mainly based on reviews and it wasn't a bad choice but certainly not palatial - pretty small and basic. ||||I found it stiflingly hot in the room - the open window let in road noise (and loud smokers congregating around the front) so I just left the fan on at night. The thin walls also meant it's perfectly possible to overhear adjourning rooms so anyone with sleeping children may watch out.||||The Wifi was a bit flaky - didn't really make it up into rooms so experienced a lot of drop-out when trying to make VoIP calls. I also found the front desk wasn't always staffed, so seeking assistance was somewhat sporadic.||||Breakfast downstairs was a good comprehensive selection despite the the few guests staying, all unstaffed (help yourself). However, there's no evening meals - I had to forage out but there's a few places nearby plus a small shop just next door. ||||It was cheap and basic but I can't claim to have had a comfortable stay and if returning to the area will look at...
