The hotel is located outside the center of Warsaw, 25 minutes from the modern center and the historic center, with the bus stop right in front of the hotel, where every bus runs every 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes on holidays and at night . The buses take you to both the modern center and the historic center and it is possible to purchase a ticket on board with a credit card for 80 cents The hotel is located in a quiet area with supermarket, restaurants, hairdresser and bars, with a car park and a nice vintage entrance, as well as an excellent restaurant/bar, with good service and food and price, too bad the opening hours are too short, i hope they will change at least the closing time until 22:45 and improve the wireless coverage there.
My room had a blocked tap, a window that didn't close properly and terrible wifi (with many website restrictions). The cleaning lady does not speak English and she never made the bed for 9 days, nor changed the sheets or vacuumed ; once I was naked with my girlfriend, and she came into the room without knocking.
One evening I found a man lying outside my room on the floor, which means the security is not working and no one sees the cameras, I had to call the receptionist, and my girlfriend was very scared.
They should put also different pillows on the bed, 2 per person.
Thanks for the receptionist Julia and the waiter Pawel, note...
Read moreFirst of all, I would like to point out that I am not a demanding person when it comes to various amenities in hotel rooms. I usually pay attention to cleanliness and the firmness of the mattress and pillows. Here, unfortunately, as in most Polish hotels, there is nothing to praise, but it is important that the windows are tight, the air conditioning works, there is water in the bathroom, towels and toilet paper as well. The hotel has a long history, because it was originally a workers' hotel intended for employees who came to work. Currently, it serves a similar function, because the prices are quite affordable. I noticed that groups of excursionists, both adults and school children, stay here quite often. I got to the given address with a slight mistake, because the name of the hotel is placed too high to be visible from the pavement. It was already dark, it was raining, so the umbrella effectively blocked the view. Maybe some directional signage should appear? The location is very good, right next to the hotel there are public transport stops (quite well marked and equipped with clear timetables). The parking is small, but you can park nearby somehow. Breakfast is good but expensive (although the price is comparable to other hotels in Warsaw). My subjective rating is 8/10 (I subtracted one point for the pillows...
Read moreThis is from the POV of a non-Polish speaker, I was travelling with native speakers but frequently left to cope on my own. All the staff understood and spoke some English some better than others. The rooms are of similar standard to Premier Inn in the UK, a breakfast buffet is included if you don't want the flexible booking option or cost about £10 extra if you do, hot and cold options are available and you are free to mix and match, main courses of the evening meals are about the same a starter and desert will double the cost, the menu is limited but translated into english, meals can be ordered to your room for about £3 or collected at no additional charge from the restaurant there are 2 supermarkets pharmacists an off licence and corner shop in easy walking distance. And a reasonable sized shopping centre about 20 minutes walk away and many local places to eat once you start looking for them It is well located for a good private orthopaedic hospital about 10 minutes walk away. It's location isn't that convenient for sight seeing being situated in what appears to be a well maintained area of predominantly soviet era apartment blocks, but it is on a bus route and has good road links to the rest...
