Hotel Atlântica — Hotel in Alcobaça

I have just spent 4 nights at this lovely little hotel, just off the main seafront. All the staff were really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They have a restaurant attached to the hotel which provided a very comprehensive buffet breakfast and is a great place to eat at lunchtime or in the evenings. The food was delicious with generous portions for a very reasonable price. The rooms are compact but have all you might need provided, with the exception of tea/coffee making facilities. There was cable TV and Wi-Fi access, although the latter was a little slow. A great spot for a relaxing holiday with the beautiful sandy beach only a few hundred yards away and lots of seaside cafes and restaurants (seafood specialities) to choose from. A word of caution however - some of these were closing for the winter after the end...

Hotel mesmo á beirinha da praia. Está muito bem localizado. Inclusive tem vista lateral de alguns quartos para a baia de são Martinho.

Tem regras de tabaco demasiado rígidas. Nem nas varandas podemos fumar.

Não passou nem uma hora da minha reserva e tentei desmarcar apresentando a justificação de não poder fumar na varanda (pedi especificamente aquele quarto por ser fumadora) não me quiseram cancelar a reserva, achei muita má vontade e fui obrigada a ir.

Á minha chegada sou atendida por uma criança (nada contra o menino, muito simpático e educado por sinal, brincar de ser crescido mas não apareceu nenhum adulto quando cheguei para, pelo menos, cuidar do miúdo enquanto fazia o atendimento)

Foi-me dado o quarto errado e esse quarto era bastante pequeno mesmo e cheirava a esgoto, apesar de parecer bem limpo (aliás, da limpeza nada a apontar estava perfeita)

O quarto certo não tinha o mesmo cheiro e era um pouco maior. Achei o WC um pouco pequeno também.

O sinal da televisão era tao fraco que nem dava para distinguir imagem ou som

Por baixo tem um bar que estava cheio de gente e ouvia-se algum ruído. No meu caso não atrapalhou em nada mas aos ouvidos mais sensíveis, não sei.

Pequeno almoço não é muitíssimo variado mas o que tem foi bastante satisfatório.

Em relação ao staff o senhor Pedro com quem falei ao telefone era bastante simpático e prestável. Presencialmente não tive contacto com mais ninguém a não ser bom dia ou boa tarde...

This hotel is close to beach, has clean beautiful rooms (with Portuguese tiles on walls) and offers a generous breakfast. Very priced and although listed as a two-star hotel it is top of the list for me! Close by is the path going up to the 'old town' with the cafe selling delicious cakes and the restaurant A Nova Gaito - both of these are quieter than on the sea front.
