Delighted to discover this wonderful pastelaria in São Martinho do Porto close to the market. The quality and service was so good that we went back every day to dine in and to order takeaways. Everything is so fresh and made with care and love. Our Brazilian friend said the pastries were the best she had tasted in her several years in Portugal. Read moreThe people here are so kind when we try to speak Portuguese (and we know not to even try when it’s busy, because they speak English better than I do). The sandes on fresh bread are tasty, but the pastries are what will bring you back.
Although it’s not apparent, they do have a small outdoor courtyard with 5 tables, one covered.
We bought 2 ham/cheese sandes, 2 coffees, a bottle of water, and a pastry, all for less than €9.
