Not a 5 star hotel… and like with other Melia hotels, more attention to detail required. Here some observations/points for improvement: - Only self service in the bar/lobby area - Need to pre-pay credit to room to be able to open a tab during your stay - WiFi free of charge but too slow for streaming, and for uninterrupted in-room TV during peak times - Many TV channels without signal - Blow dry in the room with limited power - Mirror in the bathroom not adjustable and ends at around 5‘11, i.e., no mirror for people taller than 6 feet - Body lotion empty in the bathroom upon arrival and not refilled during stay - No vacuuming when servicing the room - No refill of the water bottle after the first night; more water only for purchase - Ironing board in the room damaged - Need to book a time slot if you want to use the gym - Rowing machine in the gym not working (pedal missing) - Extra charge of 10€ if you want to use spa or pool even for hotel guests

This is a great place to stay. We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, had a jacuzzi in it and the bed comfortable. The food was great, I always looked forward to breakfast, the chefs were great. The restaurant ambience really nice. I had a spa session and it was great. The swimming pool is clean. Only bad experience was with the lady at the bar who totally ignored us when we went to buy drinks 🍸. She acted like we were not there for over 20 mins and we had to ask her if she didn't see that we were waiting on her to buy drinks. And to be honest, she was being racist because she had just finished serving a guest when we came to buy ours but she completely ignored us like we were invincible. Too bad. Outside that bad experience, in all we had a good time.

First of all I wanna appreciate Dianna, Angela at the reception who went out of their way to make us extra comfortable, I wanna thank the Spa team Anna, Julia and Caroline for giving us a beautiful and lovely massage and the use of the Spa facility. When we landed we had some issues at which Dianna and Angela fixed immediately and then went beyond. It was my birthday and wedding anniversary and we wanted to just enjoy the peaceful and serene atmosphere away from home and these people made it possible, we enjoyed the chef’s meal every night as we ordered every night, it was perfect. We definitely had a 5 star treatment. Thank you so much guys we appreciate all you did to make us comfortable we shall visit again…soon

Spa and Wellness Facilities|The spa facilities were exceptional, providing a truly relaxing experience. Each room booking includes one complimentary access to the indoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna - a wonderful added value that enhanced our stay considerably. The spa staff were particularly attentive and professional throughout our visit.|Staff Service|The hotel staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Where language wasn't a barrier, communication was seamless and staff members were genuinely helpful with all requests. Special mention goes to the bartender, who graciously accommodated our request to open our own bottles of wine - a thoughtful gesture that exemplified the hotel's flexible, guest-focused approach.|Prime Location and Accessibility|The hotel's location is simply outstanding. Perfectly positioned for both convenience and exploration, it offers:|Transportation|Public transport: Excellent bus connections right at your doorstep.|Ride services: Abundant Uber and Bolt availability throughout the day.|Parking: On-site parking available for guests with rental cars and free in outside space.|Walkability: Easily accessible on foot to most local attractions.||Dining and Entertainment|Being situated near the university creates a vibrant dining scene within easy walking distance. The abundance of restaurants, cafes, and eateries means you'll never run out of excellent dining options, from casual student-friendly spots to more upscale establishments.|Overall Experience|This hotel strikes the perfect balance between quality facilities, attentive service, and an unbeatable location. The combination of excellent spa amenities, helpful staff, and prime positioning makes it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.||Hotel Review - Areas for Improvement|Service Quality|The service experience was inconsistent, with several staff members displaying unprofessional attitudes that detracted from the overall stay. A more customer-focused approach from all team members would significantly enhance the guest experience.|Dining Experience|Restaurant Pricing and Value|The restaurant pricing appears excessive relative to the quality and variety offered. Despite being advertised as a buffet, the selection was disappointingly limited, failing to justify the premium charges.|Beverage Policy|A significant concern is the hotel's policy regarding table water during meals. Guests are not informed in advance that complimentary water is not provided, resulting in unexpected charges for bottled water at inflated prices. This lack of transparency regarding meal inclusions creates an unpleasant surprise for diners.|The bar prices are notably steep, with cocktails priced at €16 per glass, which exceeds typical market rates for the region.|Housekeeping Issues|Important warning for guests: Exercise caution when placing personal belongings near bathrobes. Items left in proximity to linens risk being inadvertently collected during housekeeping and sent to external laundry services, potentially resulting in permanent loss of personal effects.|Room Amenities|The provision of basic in-room refreshments falls short of industry standards. Essential items such as complimentary water and coffee are either unavailable or insufficient, creating inconvenience for guests who expect these standard amenities.|Use of Spa|If staying in a standard room, there are extra charges for using the Spa and gym at 11 euros daily. |Covered parking|This comes at a charge. Therefore advisable to park in the plenty free spaces which are in abundance.|Practical Recommendation|I strongly advise future guests to purchase necessities, particularly bottled water, from local supermarkets once settled post arrival. This proactive approach will help avoid the hotel's inflated prices and ensure adequate supplies throughout your stay.|Overall Assessment|While the hotel has potential, these service and policy issues significantly impact the guest experience and value proposition. Greater transparency regarding charges and improved staff training would go a long way toward addressing...

One of the best hotels in Braga. Value for money.. spa , swimming pool and breakfast are added in the bill. Near to one of the tourist place called Bom Jesus. First review I had the following experience in my second visit

I had to do 2 bookings for my continuous stay of 16days just because single booking was costing 11Euro/Day extra(which costs me 176Euro extra in the overall bill). Though I was promised to not to change the room for the second booking which starts immediately after the first one, I was asked to change the room(of course it was an upgraded one). I had no issues with the lifts(elevators) for the first few days. Hotel wis a 12 storey building and had just 3 lifts for customers use. It was horrible situation in peak hours when one among 3 lifts isn't working. There was some discrepancy in the billing. Called the reception for help and they did not receive the call at all. Had to go to ground floor just to check. In fact it was the mistake from Hotel side. One of the days in my stay my room was not cleaned though I did not put up any flag to not to clean. Had to call, wait and then get it cleaned. Hotel also offers room conference/party. It was extremely noisy when there was party going on next to my room. It would be good if the party halls are away from the rooms where people live. I had a TV in my room. I was able to watch English News and then all of sudden it stops. No response from the reception even after the complaint. Also, there are not many international TV channels available in the TV. Last but not the least is, it was almost crowded in the breakfast room almost everyday. As mentioned earlier, Hotel has 12 floors and people from all of them come to same breakfast room to...
