Holiday Inn Braga by IHG — Hotel in Braga

Terrible customer service. I booked two rooms (one for myself and one for my mother) and they would not give us an elevator key that allowed us to go from floor to floor. That was after I asked for a room on the same floor (if they couldn’t get a key that allows us to go back and forth between rooms, they should have given us a room on the same floor then). Also, the breakfast sucks (especially considering the price). The eggs were cold, few options to choose and cake was dry. There were no plates at the buffet and we had to ask them to replenish (the lady told us it was because they had a large group party the previous day as if that was an excuse). The location is not too bad (close enough to downtown) but you are better off staying at a hotel downtown near all the nice restaurants and what the city...

I asked for a bedsheet to cover the couch. The staff Maria asked, "Are there 3 people sleeping in the room?". I said, "No of course not. you just checked us in. Two people only". Maria also told us that the pool is available to use. My husband was in the pool and was escorted out. Turns out the pool can not be used till June. A superb brand new hotel with lots of parking, a short taxi ride from Braga centre. There is plenty of underground parking in town but after one attempt at driving the old and confusing road system it was so much better to take a taxi!
