Hotel Covilhã Jardim — Hotel in Covilhã

The hotel was recommended in a guide book, and for lack of a better option we tried to find it. It wasn't easy, because the public garden is just a tiny park at the top of the hill, and the streets farther down, where you enter the city by car, are very busy. The lady at the reception did not speak English, but we muddled through with my smattering of French, a lot of good will, and help from a colleague at the cafe. We showed up with no reservation and there were college students all over the Jardim in front of the hotel doing college initiation games (or something similar) Our room was modern, clean and functional, all in line with a reasonable price, and a welcoming attitude. Breakfast was simple and plentiful but with instant coffee which was less than expected. Good value for the money we paid but not memorable as some of the places we have stayed on this trip. We would stay again if we could not find something more...

Fiquei alojado com a minha família, no total éramos 7 pessoas e reservámos 3 quartos. Estávamos um pouco preocupados pelo hotel ter 2 estrelas mas quando chegámos vimos que o hotel tem bastante qualidade, tudo limpinho e o edifício tem charme, principalmente no exterior e no café no piso 0 que pertence ao hotel, óptima escolha para tomar o pequeno almoço! Os quartos têm o tamanho ideal e o hotel possui aquecimento central por isso nunca passámos frio, foi muito aconchegante.||Ficámos 3 noites e adorámos, foi tudo perfeito, o atendimento no hotel foi feito sempre pelos proprietários, sempre preocupados com o nosso bem estar, atenciosos e disponíveis sempre que necessário, obrigado! Igualmente no café os funcionários são bastante simpáticos e prestáveis.||A localização do hotel é muito boa, em frente a um grande jardim, parque infantil e com vários restaurantes a poucos minutos a pé.
