Equilíbrio - Esplanada do Jardim — Restaurant in Covilhã

Was in for a beer late yesterday and had to pay cash. Today I had to wait for some time to have my order of a kebab and beer. The beer eventually came but no food. After 40 minutes the same waitress came and asked if I wanted to order some food.... I said I'd ordered a kebab and she went off in a huff and was shouted at by the owner, who seems to do this a lot. 10 minutes later a bacon, lettuce and tomato roll with some "kebab sauce", which is some cheap garlic mayo, though not much, appeared. Not offered any chili sauce or any other sauce for that matter. Very bland, if that was a kebab then I'm a banana. Had finished my beer too but they couldn't be bothered to ask if I needed another so I didn't bother. Poor service and poor food. Wasted a lot of time waiting to order, waiting for beer, waiting for food and waiting to pay. I paid, expressed my dissatisfaction that was blamed on a new waitress, and the blandness of the food and left. Will go elsewhere tomorrow. Owner...

Pros: Estabelecimento localizado numa zona agradável da cidade. Funcionárias rápidas a servir e atenciosas

Contras (e o que estragou por completo a experiência a não repetir): O dono é absurdamente desagradável. Não tem respeito e fala de forma demasiado ofensiva. Cardápio com preços afixados que no ato do pagamento não têm nada a ver (para mais elevados, óbvio. Sempre a favorecer o senhor antipático) - ao qual nos respondeu que o cardápio está desatualizado e que só queríamos era conversa . Fugindo a uma base legal e a regras que deverão ser cumpridas pelos estabelecimentos.

Uma experiência horrível que só não resultou em escrever no livro de reclamações porque o Sr. cedeu por perceber que não estava a falar com leigos na matéria.

Muito cuidado com este tipo de estabelecimentos. Não aconselho este...

Very nice reasonably priced meal on a terrace with great views over the surrounding mountains, friendly staff and good portions of food. The BBQ burger was very good and so was the wine we had. Adjacent to the gardens and a nice atmosphere, obviously popular...
