Flag Hotel Guimarães Fafe — Hotel in Fafe

I was delightfully surprised by this Flag Hotel location. The room was simple but ample, clean and had everything necessary (including free fast internet and full cable). The personnel was extremely helpful and professional, even offering for us to block their vehicles in the parking lot since we arrived quite late (1am) so that we could park without concerns. The on-site restaurant was very accomodating and offered reasonable prices. We did not enjoy the breakfast because we had to departure early, but I would recommended based on the look of the grateful customer and the array of pastries and options. DO NOT LET the price fool you in thinking this is a cheap hotel ... IT IS CHEAP in price (in comparison to others in the area) but for all the right reasons :-) Located in a strategic area of the city near the local nightlife, no frills but with everything you need. Near business and supermarkets without being in the middle of the caos. This is the perfect option for getaways, weekends, business stays and quick stays when you want a clean, reliable and price...

Look no further in Fafe, this is the only option! It is amazing why such a wealthy city has only this depressing establishment to offer to its visitors.||It starts with location: far from the centre in a " nowhere" area. The construction is on top of a curve over a busy roundabout, no place for cars to stop in front of the entrance to unload. A minuscule parking lot with clients walking access by some steep stone steps on the lower side of the hotel provides inadequate parking. If it is full, which is usual, there is litterally no other parking place around for several hundred meters to park your car!||The hotel inside is plain and basic. No lift so if you get a room on the first floor you carry your luggage up the steps. Reception personel is kind and helpful.||The rooms are ok, small and not much but beds are clean and confortable. Bathroom is adequate.||Breakfast is good with plenty of choices, good bread but bad coffee. Ask for a machine expresso.||Very popular with excursions buses so...

There are no hotel choices in Fafe so this is it. However if you can avoid staying here so much the better. The hotel is located on a noisy avenue, it is a basic 2 stars style hotel although some rooms are renovated and are not really that bad, even spatious. No toilet amenities, matresses and pillows quite acceptable. But room temperature is really cold in the winter. What is bad is that there is no elevator so you might have to take your bags 2 floors up on a staircase with no help from reception. Internet is extremely expensive , €20 a day, the parking lot is a joke especially if the hotel is full and you may have to park your car 250 meters down the mainroad, which is really too far away. Breakfast is ok, what you would expect from this class. Fafe is not really an interesting city so it is advisable to drive the extra miles and stop in beautiful...
