Hotel Arcanjo — Hotel in Lagoa

When you travel, far away from home and you just wish a place to stay and you wish a smile from the Staff, only a smile it would make you feeling better, so I can tell you: here you get a smile and much more! Here you get a treatement like a Family! Staff are really kind, they make everything for you to make you feel comfortable. They are helpful and really really kind, I miss this place already! We needed to make the check out early in the morning at 05 o'clock and they don't have 24h reception, we left the keys close to the reception and that worked fine for us, they left a little breakfast for us the night before in our room (this is something that makes you feel being a part of this family house, never happened before at the places I've stayed in. There is fresh breakfast each morning (buffet, you get the essential that you need to start your day). Little park behind the house or in the side on the street for cars (free of charge). They clean the room every single day, that's amazing! And everything so clean! Beds are comfy. We will be back soon...

location is near a bus stop (bear in mind there are no buses after 8pm from our experience). staff was very helpful and friendly. there is a fridge they can store your items in and they will mark the room #. the double room we stayed in was basic but it was clean and bright with walkout to a balcony. pillows could be better quality for sure though. the air conditioning worked great. at night there were dogs barking outside but that is not the fault of the hotel. breakfast begins promptly at 730am with fruit, juices, coffee, tea, espresso, basic pastries, variety of breads, toaster, ham, cheese slices, yogurt, cereal, milk (hot and cold). parking is available (about 10 spaces that fills up quickly). they also can store your luggage prior to check-in and even after check-out. there are a few restaurants within walking distance if you need to grab a bite. Wifi worked fine. I would stay here again...

Amazing family run hotel with the best value for money. My husband and I have been travelling for the last year and this hotel gives by far the best customer experience. Staff here is extremely kind, attentive and they will do everything to make your stay incredible. I am gluten and lactose intolerant and they managed to get me gluten free and lactose free products for breakfast. Breakfast is overall excellent and offers a great variety of local products. Adding to this, on our last day we had a very early flight and we got surprised by a massive takeaway breakfast left in our room (see pic). Thank you so much again, you are incredible! Cleaning-wise this place is spot on and the room has all necessary comforts. Beach towels are also provided free of charge. Location is perfect to visit the main spots. We cannot recommend this...
