I can’t praise this place enough. One of the best vacations of my life. In Ondina you’ll find a family atmosphere, amazing and helpful people, and the food… so delicious it’s even hard to describe it, you simply have to come and try it. They adjust to your food allergies and cook separate dishes if that’s necessary. I’m on a gluten free diet and they always made sure there’s a gluten free option for me. All the activities are well planned, yoga teachers have an individual approach for everyone, my boyfriend has never done yoga before so it was a challenge for him but teachers were really patient and supportive. Also surfing classes provided by a local surfing school were really professional, instructors made sure everyone feels good and safe. Went here for a surf and yoga retreat. The people are sooo sweet, the place is beautiful and mostly I felt so spoiled with their amazing cooking skills. Amazing vegan food like I couldnt even imagine before. I want to go back just for that. They have a cute cat that sometimes walks in for cuddles. The yoga was 2x a day and such a mindfull nice practice. Rebecca our yoga teacher was increadibly sweet and if a pose was difficult she always had easier options. Surf was my first time, quite tricky and the beach is with rocks rather than sand. Depending on the time of year you visit the waves differ for experience level. First time surfing, first time Portugal. We stay in Roots guesthouse from the same owners as Odina and only 3min walking. The food was excellent! The rooms were clean and cosy and the owners felt more like old friends than strangers even after the first contact. You need to switch to 'chill mode' and forget the stress and the structure from your daily life to fully enjoy the atmosphere and the spirit of this guesthouse. But once you did, it feels like home.
