Gundi House — Hotel in Mafra

Gundi house was my home for 3 weeks. From the first moment I arrived I felt at home and every day more and more. It’s a nice house, very clean and spacious with a nice terrace where I admired several ocean view sunsets. Very well located, close to the beach, surf spots and restaurants; it’s in a quiet neighborhood. Rodrigo, the host and Rafaela, the volunteer are great person..kind, polite, helpful and never intrusive. Rodrigo is also a great surf and skateboard instructor, so take the opportunity to take lessons with him; you won’t regret it and you’ll have fun. With him, in a few hours, I learned to surf. In these weeks I’ve never been bored; surfing, yoga, nights out on the town, barbecue at home with other guests, hiking. I arrived alone but here I never felt alone, I couldn’t expect anything better. I'll definitely be back very soon. Thanks for everything...

Gundi House is like your home but next to some of the best waves in Europe. Rodrigo is a fantastic host and helps creating the beautiful chill friendly vibe that is so great at Gundi House. It was my first time in portugal, and I arrived hoping to surf a little bit and catch some sun, but I left after week surfed out and with a bunch of great new friends. The breakfast is something I’m gonna miss for quite some time, also the pastas at 1 am after going disco dancing with all the other guys from the house. All in all it has been an unforgettable week and I can’t wait to come...

Gundi house is now my home. After spending almost 2 months in Ericeira staying in different hostels, I can say with certainty that this is where I will always come back. Rodrigo, the owner, is a kind, polite and never intrusive person. Rafaela, the volunteer is a very sweet and helpful girl. The location is great because it’s in a quiet neighborhood and not far from two beaches (Coxos and San Lorenço). The view from the balcony is beautiful. Rodrigo is a very good surf and skateboard instructor so take the opportunity to take lessons with him and have fun. See you soon...
