Read moreFantastic Vibe. Spent a week and what a great time. The hosts: Alisa, Sam and Patrick nee Paty were just fantastic. Helpful, generous and welcoming. Great surf advice too. The location is good in that it is close to some great breaks, you can walk to them but be aware that it's a solid 15 minute walk. And there is a cool surf shop 2 minutes away where they rent some boards and are connected to a surf school - Semente Surf. If you want to be in the thick of the Ericeria main City with all the fancy restaurants, bars, surfwear and pastelerias then you can take an Uber. But it's about 5 minutes from a smaller town with restaurants and very good food. There were lot's of Ubers and very reasonable - like $5 euros to get to main town. The wifi worked beautifully, the Hostel was well kept - hey, it's a Hostel!, and we had a great group of people at the Republica which started with Alisa,...
Read moreThe vibes here were excellent. The staff and volunteers were extremely kind and helpful, going out of their way to do favors for the guests. The kitchen was small but well-equipped, there was ample outdoor and some indoor areas to hang out and chill. The location was perfect for me -- a 3-minute drive from Ericeira, far enough from the hustle and bustle but close enough to be able to drive there with no inconvenience (it helped to have a rental car).
The hostel has surfboards to rent, delicious drinks and empanadas to buy, and a really lovely homey feeling. Thank you Mariana and everyone at Republica...
