I don't understand all these positive reviews. Must have been unlucky and got the worst room. But the most important thing first; dust and mold everywhere. If you are sensitive - don't come here! I am a seasoned traveler and experienced a lot. Honestly, sleeping under a fir tree in the mountains would have been much nicer. If you're traveling with suitcases, don't come here. You can't get them into the room, and even if you manage to do that, you won't be able to move anywhere. Trying to open them is completely out of the question. Although a solution would have been to put the suitcases on the bed, and sleep on the small floor that is available. I think that would have been significantly more comfortable than trying to sleep in bed. It was so completely worn out that no matter how you tried to lie down you would literally break your spine. But all this doesn't really matter. Because the stench in the room from mold and sewage is the worst. It was impossible for me to sleep in the room even though I had opened the window and lay close to get fresh air. But at least I didn't have to be bored during the night. I heard EVERYTHING! And by that I mean - everything. I could clearly hear the sips as the neighbor drank. Don't know what the walls are made of, I didn't dare to check.||Then I also have to complain a little about the communication. In the confirmation upon booking, you will receive a code to be able to enter. There is no staff on site so you have to fend for yourself. The code didn't work, and we couldn't get into the house. In addition, you must understand how the lock works so that you can enter the code correctly. No information about this anywhere. Luckily, another guest had already wrestled with the lock and figured out how to do it. It later turned out that I had received an email the day before with a new code and correct (!) instructions. So if you are not online and check your email during your holiday, you'll miss it and get...
Read moreWe loved our stay at Maiahouse. Excellent service. The room was pleasant with a nice shower room. The linen was of very good quality. Soap and shampoo was supplied and the shower room was cleaned everyday as well fresh towels. The cable TV worked well. The kitchen was new, super organised and neat, with access to a lovely terrace where we had dinner. ||The location is perfect. It’s located in the town centre. Maia is a beautiful town with lots of green spaces, clean (air) and organised with all amenities. In every corner there are restaurants and coffee shops with delicious affordable food. The metro station is only a few metres away. It’s an easy fast ride to Porto city and local beaches. ||Overall all was perfect, definitely will...
Read morePros: A entrada de código funciona bem e é prática. O quarto estava limpo e a limpeza é assegurada todas as manhãs.
