Maré Alta Alojamentos — Hotel in Peniche

My worst accommodation experience in all 30+ years travelling. Cannot sleep because neighbours were talking and drinking till 3am+ and the walls were so thin, the noise echoed throughout the apartment. Just facing main road and can hear all cars driving by. Beds were softest ever. Just foams that are really crappy soft. Pillows are ridiculous flat and offer no support. Crappy facility, no Aircon (ok), no hangers(?), no bathroom hooks. Very, very, very basic rooms with even worst quality of beddings, no existent sound proofing and zero thoughtfulness of essential basics. The photos look much better than it really is. Just avoid...

Right next to the road, where trash collection came on Monday night at 11.15pm. Paper thin walls and doors means you can literally hear your neighbours having their dinner / gathering at 11pm in the night till 3.30am in the morning shouting and laughing like they don't have any neighbours.

My son is left awake till now... wow..

The owners didn't even have the decency to inform their guest to keep it down after a certain timing.

I wouldn't recommend this place at all for anyone who is keen on a nice relaxing holiday...

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Maresia Apartments, the apartment was newly refurbished and very modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable and apartment was super clean and tidy. Location was fantastic as walking distance to all areas of Peniche and short drive to key Beaches and very central to the areas most famous sights ... Supertubos, Obidos, Nazare, Santa Cruz, Buddha Eden and Dino Park. Would definitely...
