Offshore Rustic House — Hotel in Peniche

It is certainly a Rustic house. That may mean different things to different people but in this case it is an old house with old furniture that needs some love and care. Some things are broken and parts need a brew paint job. Considering the price of the room it gets 4 stars. We took a double room with a shared bathroom. The bed was in the small side but was comfortable. There is no air conditioning so you need the windows open. Room 1 is in the street front therefore there is road noise until midnight and starts again at 6am. We were so able to sleep though. There are 2 bathrooms for the sharing between the rooms. They are functional although the shower head is very high upstairs. The biggest let down was the level of cleaning. At the superficial view it looked ok but move any furniture then there seemed to be centuries of dust. You had to wear footwear inside as the floor was gritty. Some of the other guests food was not completely cleaned up over night, so we were confronted with a large number of ants in the bench top 🙁. The cleaning staff need to pay more attention. The owner is very attentive and is able to come by very quickly when there is as problem. The kitchen has most equipment except for a full oven. There is a washing machine that costs 5€ if you are staying less than 3 nights. Please contact the owner before using even though the sign on the wall doesn’t say that. 😊: Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis war gut und für den Zweck hat es auch ausgereicht.. 😢: Wie auf den Bildern unschwer zu erkennen, ist alles sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Auf die Küche haben wir uns am meisten gefreut, da wir diese nutzen möchten, allerdings ist dort alles klebrig und nur oberflächlich sauber gemacht worden. Den Wasserkocher konnte man überhaupt nicht benutzen und auch bei der Waschmaschine hat die Wäsche danach mehr gerochen als geduftet.😉 Alles in allen müsste einiges erneuert werden und mal was investiert werden.

Der Außenbereich und die Dachterrasse ist fast nicht mehr nutzbar und schon gar nicht mit einem Kind. Also hier ist wirklich...

Vous pensez réserver une suite avec petite cuisine même un lave vaisselle privatif et enfin de compte vous payez plus cher pour avoir juste les toilettes et salle de bain privatifs. Tout le reste est en commun. Le frigo était en panne. La vue jardin voir photo. Vue sur route très passante et très bruyante. Nous avons très peu dormi. La maison est très mal entretenue. On devait relaver la vaisselle avant utilisation. Pas de commerce à proximité. Obliger de prendre la voiture à chaque fois.
