We were visiting family in nearby Lamego and this was the cheapest Hotel available and, having stayed in Regua before, we knew it was a beautiful area to stay. The Hotel room was compact and could benefit from a repainting but was clean and soon warmed up using the air conditioner as it was very cold in the region at this time. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a bit small and I had to use two. The staff were friendly and welcoming although a bell on reception would be helpful as it was deserted when we arrived to check in and also when we left to check out and had to find assistance.||The breakfast was very basic which is to be expected in a budget Hotel but I can't comment on the pool as it was far to cold to even contemplate a dip.||For me, the best thing about our stay was the ample parking which was never an issue and the shower in our bathroom which was lovely and hot and very powerful.||On the downside the walls in the room seem paper thin and you could clearly hear people talking, the shower running and the irritating sound of the air conditioner running next door. However, if you’re looking for a more elevated stay this may fall short! We came in October - to be fair - during summer it might appear nicer with the garden/pool open and better kept. Stayed for a night for super reasonable price with breakfast, restful sleep but may be a bit dated for some!
Can hear your neighbours depending on how loud they are :) can recommend as a practical option for hotel stay (not b&b or hostel). Happy enough for a stop along the way! If planning on staying longer to enjoy the facilities, not sure if this would be the best place for you....
