We stayed 10 days at this property. On our early arrival they stored our luggage. The hotel doesn't have an airport shuttle, but the Metro is an easy trip. If you get off at the Francos station the hotel is just about a five-minute walk from the station. In fact, you can see the hotel from the station. Exit south and follow the crowd to the main street where the hotel is on. Easy with roller luggage.
Breakfasts were excellent. A wide variety to include eggs, cold meats, vegetables, fruits, cheese, cereal, breads.
Rooms were "efficient." They were comfortable. There were no dressers for clothes or refrigerator like in the states. So for 10 days we had to make due with how clothes were stored. A guide to thermostat operations would be useful. It is a hotel that is better suited to the business traveler.
Our room was on the back side of the building. You could hear the Metro as it went by but the Metro didn't run in the sleep hours, so it wasn't a big concern.
We ate dinner at the restaurant a couple times and the food was excellent and well-priced.
Security and Wi-Fi Internet were excellent.
We used public transportation and there are convenient bus stops near along with the Metro line.
The staff spoke excellent English and were engaging. They were on top of everything. They provided a to go breakfast bag prior to our morning flight.
I believe the property is considered in the business district and even so I would recommend it for the tourist who is willing to use public transportation or walk. Restaurants and grocery markets...
Read moreWe stayed here for two nights and had a fairly decent experience overall, though with a few drawbacks.
First off, the rooms are quite small, which is expected for a business hotel—but if you're traveling with more than two people, be prepared for it to feel cramped. We were three people sharing a room, and since the sofa converted into a bed for the third person, there was hardly any walking space left. There was also no wardrobe, so we had to manage our belongings in our bags, which wasn’t ideal for a comfortable stay.
There were also a couple of maintenance issues—some bulbs in the room weren’t working. We reported it, and while they weren’t able to fix it right away due to a lack of spares, the staff offered us a different room, which was thoughtful.
Despite the room issues, the reception staff were absolutely lovely—very sweet and super helpful. They went out of their way to assist us with booking tickets, giving us travel advice, and helping us navigate the city. Their warm attitude really made a difference.
The location is excellent—just about 5 to 10 minutes from the main city, making it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around.
Breakfast was okay, not a lot of variety, and some of the breakfast staff were a bit curt and not particularly helpful, which was a small letdown.
Overall: If you’re a solo traveler or a couple looking for a convenient location and helpful front desk service, this hotel is a solid option. But if you’re traveling in a group or need more space and storage, it may not be the most...
Read moreStayed here only because of IHG membership and a particularly low price, which turned out to be good value for money||Hotel is reasonably new , everything in great condition , bed really comfortable, nice walk in shower , iron, hairdryer and kettle etc in room||Sure the location isn’t city centre but the hotel is 5 mins walk from Francos metro station which has trains into the city every 3/5 mins even at night and is on the direct E line from the airport which was a big plus for €2.25 single or cheaper with daily cards. Every tram passing also goes to the main Trindade station ||I stay in a lot of holiday inn express hotels and the room I had was on the small side and probably not somewhere you would stay for more than a couple of days if multiple people. The metro line runs behind hotel and can be heard but was ok from the 7th floor but might be an issue if lower down so I’d ask for a high floor or room facing front if your a light sleeper||There is a restaurant linked but I think it’s third party yet provides the express free breakfast. Which tbh was poor , difficult to get seats, pastries not cooked fully each day, people ending up sitting in reception to eat breakfast. There is also no separate bar , so you have to sit in this small restaurant if you want a drink - bit of a strange set up||Hotel kept bags for me after check out with no problem. ||Overall good value so I’d return for a similar price but not...
