Hotel Dom Nuno — Hotel in Santiago do Cacém

Some days before the weekend we decided to spend a weekend in Alentejo, to go to the beach Sao Torpes. THe only available place was this, and luckly it was. A 3 star hotel in a small alentejano town. We were well received,. THe room was very nice. THey have a swimingpool. THe staff was very nice and received us well. When we went to sleep, the only complain was the other guests, they were to noise as they were in a hostel. In the morning we went to breakfast. It was very complete (for a 3 star hotel). Only didn't had the eggs and bacon, but excellent local bread and pastery. THe only critique , the room was small for all the people (i think they weren't prepared for all those people, but even so they were able to serve well. A place to return (and in a time of the year were the temperature is not 47º degress ;) with this temperature we didn't want to leave the room (with AC) or...

This hotel in the middle of a small town in Portugal was open and ready to take us in even though it was a few hours after midnight. It was decently priced for the accommodations. It looked like it was an old hotel that someone had put a bit of lipstick on, trying to make it more modern. The bathroom was fully tiled to the point that it was a bit overbearing. It came with a bath, which was nice after sitting in the car for hours. There was a nice little terrace outside for those who smoke. Beware of the breakfast, which comes included. The bread was stale and what looked like orange juice was more like Sunny-d... but they did have fresh fruit. The staff was very friendly and all in all, it was a quiet and uneventful place to stay the night on our trip...

We recently cycled from Lisbon to the Algarve and the company we cycled with (Cycling Rentals - century cycles) put us up in this lovely hotel in this little town. Our room was on the road side but had a great view of the fort and was very quiet at night. Very comfy bed. Wonderfully friendly reception staff, nice little pool. We walked to the fort which is not far and has great views. Very close to bars and restaurants. Great...
