WORST PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN. Be booked through booking two bedrooms for 3 people because it said they don't have a tripled room with the condition of non having to pay until the arrival, and free cancellation anytime. When we arrive there we were shocked, the lady told us that we could have chosen just one room because the double room was actually tripled, so we asked her politely to cancel the single room, she said no so meanly (even though it was free cancelation anytime) and we were broke students, but we didn't want any trouble. She forced us to pay in cash (it was supposed that we can pay with card, but again we didn't want any trouble). The place was clean, but so old, not nicely old. The mattress were deformed, with bumps all over and hard as a table, we barely could sleep and we went out of there with a huge back pain. One of the bathrooms was flooded. The clean lady was trying to listen and gossip all the time. Cheap but should have better conditions cause the beds were awful, and even if its old and not fancy at all, A GOOD BED ITS THE LEAST A HOSTEL...

Covas is a little unusual, we had a 1 night stay, 1 single room and a double room, and we quickly dubbed the place the "convent". The place is situated above a bar, the covas, and is a long corridor with small rooms to the sides. The beds a to hard for my liking and a bit to short. Toilets are acceptable, no complaints. There are 2 reasons I am not actually giving this place and average rating. It is a bit to expensive(20€) for the value and the location.. I should be fair and mention this was on the night of the wales-portugal semi finals in the euros, but the partying from the bar and streets made this a night with very little sleep, not optimal after 14 days hiking up the coast. I assume it is fine on an average weekday, could be an issue on the weekend. On the plus side it is right across the street from the...

Stepping into Restaurant Covas on a weekday evening, we were surprised to find it bustling with activity. Luckily, we snagged a table in the back room, perfect for a more intimate dining experience. Craving fresh seafood, we opted for the torados and octopus, both of which were excellent. The dishes were not only delicious but also generous, featuring ample portions of perfectly cooked vegetables – the potatoes and beans were a standout! To complement our meal, we enjoyed refreshing cold beers and explored their selection of local wines. The restaurant itself boasts a charming décor, creating a relaxed and warm atmosphere. Service was both friendly and attentive, ensuring a delightful dining experience.

We had been here many years ago and tried "Canja de Garoupa" for the first time. We loved it so much that it stayed with us and we even learned how to cook it at home. Now we were close by and decided to revisit the restaurant. It looks more modern, I believe they renovated it, but they still had the dish "canja de garoupa" and we order it again, it took around 30m to prepare and the portion is huge but still good. Of course now we have tried it at home many times so we can compare it better to our own efforts :) still got it. Worth a visit

Stayed here a few days in one of the rooms and they are very modern and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was great also, overall good experience.
