Hotel Bom Sucesso — Hotel in Vila Verde

Make no mistake: the hotel is basic. If you expect jacuzzi or a warm buffet breakfast you can forget it! Nevertheless it is cozy, comfortable, cenrally located, quiet, clean and very friendly and I would definitely recommend it. The breakfast is simple (both sweet and savoury) but very good, the quality of the mattress is excellent, it is right on the central square of Vila de Prado but if you have a room overlooking the river, it is totally quiet. Wifi is available for free in the room with a very good connection. As I was there in December and it can become very cold outside, the heating is excellent and keeps you warm and cozy in your room. The water pressure of the shower id excellent and far better than many more expensive hotels. The hotel owner is very friendly and tries to help albeit his limited English. From Braga railway station, one can get to the hotel by cathing the Number 2 bus, right from outside the railway station, and after a 15 minute ride to the last stop, another 10 minute on foot and one is at the hotel. A Many shops and a large supermarke is a 7-8 minute walk away. As I needed to be in Vila de Prado, this hotel was perfect for my needs. Maybe one negative point are the pillows, they could definitely be better, but overall a very good price/quality...

Room- Good sized room, interiors are old fashioned but have a nice appeal. Clean and well maintained Beds- Comfortable and clean AC-works, keeps the room cool Bathroom/Toilet - Good sized, clean with toiletries, towels included Breakfast - Included and was decent - Croissant, cheese slices, ham, coffee Staff - Welcoming Parking - By the road in front of the hotel. Not sure if there is extra parking in case all spots are taken Location - ok with restaurants within...

Prado is a very quiet, although beautiful, neighbourhood. This is a friendly family run hotel, impeccably clean, and super friendly. Considering the rates, it is great value for money. Don't expect luxury facilities, but a great place to sleep and explore a beautiful area with great food and great people.
