We stayed there for 2 nights and it was the most awful place i have ever been checked in to (someone else has made the reservation for the entire student group). It was dirty (we even found a cockroach), very dated and the staff was not friendly. ||You can see our room in the attached photos. When I went to the reception to ask them to give me my money back, they didn’t want to do it, but they gave me another room instead. THEY DIDN’T EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR THE AWFUL CONDITIONS THEY PUT US INTO. The other room was as dated as the first one, but a little bit cleaner.||When we got there, some of our colleagues got stuck in the elevator because they were too heavy (there were 2 elevators x maximum 4 people each: one was new and the other one was very old- I only used it once, I didn’t feel at all safe in it). It was their fault, of course, but when I went to announce the staff about it, they nodded their head and came 10 minutes later because they had something else to do (YOU DO NOT DO THAT WHEN PEOPLE GET STUCK IN AN ELEVATOR BECAUSE THEY MIGHT PANIC AND THE SITUATION COULD GET EVEN WORSE). We chose to walk the stairs up to the 4th, 8th and 10th floor. ||We had to go to the reception to ask them to turn on the heating for several rooms. They gave an electric radiator to one of my colleagues (totally unprofessional). |We paid 160 lei/night/room for 10 lei conditions. I even told them that, and they didn’t have...

Horrible hotel, online it says is 3 stars but when you get to the hotel it says is 2 stars, I think the people who give 5 stars are either fake or live under a rock, they probably haven’t renovated since the communist time, everything is old, the carpet was disgusting, I was scared to use the lift, we where on the ground floor and the lift was showing 3rd floor, the button to call didn’t work properly so a few times we had to use the stairs, the corridor and a some rooms smell like cigarettes, we asked to change rooms because of the smell and we found HAIR on the bed sheets and bathtub, after settling down we noticed the hot water and the heating was not working, when we went to reception they said they forgot to turn it on!! We’re in the middle of winter, the shower took 20min to get hot but after that it was ok, the bed is not great but not the worst I’ve slept in, the breakfast options was very poor and the scrambled eggs were gray/greenish colour. The only PROS about the hotel is the location and staff was nice, DO NOT RECOMMEND...

A very old building, kept on a decent situation - as walls, windows, restaurant and - perhaps the most important - a very helpful staff. All facilities are outdated - very old TV sets, almost non-working, also the room telephones. You have a little fridge, but empty... and, most of all, you have only two floors with A/C - and, for sure, A/C is compulsory in midsummer... The staff is perfect - helpful and kind; the big issue, in my opinion, is they are absolutely fair, compared with other resorts seen on Booking.com: although they have some rooms with A/C, it is not announced like a whole resort facility; the level is only two stars, although they could easily mark as three - Booking allow all locations to announce itself the classification... To conclude, the price is fair for what you get, and the position...

This hotel represents a strange mix between the communist era and the new era. It is good option if you are not very pretentious. The furniture are refurbished and persobally I like the nice touch of the old era. The breakfast was surprisingly good fot that money (except coffee...coffe was awful :)) ) Price: 200 ron/night (~40 eur), breakfast included. Pros: location, awesome view of the citadel, price, food and the sentiment of the romantic part of the communist era. Cons: bathroom is very old and is not looking too good, elevator, hot water needs some minutes to reach the higher floors. Honestly review would be some where at 3.5 *

A somewhat unromantic time travel: it's as if we're still in 1985... The furniture is from the socialist era, with uncomfortable beds and a poorly equipped bathroom (a yellowed bathtub and worn tiles). Without air conditioning, the night was quite warm, and we had to leave the window open, of course, without a mosquito net. The only positive aspect is the excellent location, close to the castle and the city center. The hotel is currently under renovation, and hopefully, it will become more comfortable once completed.

The experience was bad, very bad Positive Clean sheets Very good location Negative There are a lot to say Very very old, I think that it has 30 years old with no redecorating The tv has 25 years old The tv reception very bad The bathroom very old very bad The price is up for conditions From the moment you enter to all details in the hotel or in the room you fell that you are in a time travel 30 years ago From my point, I don't want to go back there again
