Pensiunea El Plazza DCC — Hotel in Băile Herculane

I don’t usually write reviews, but I was so shocked by the rudeness of the front-desk person, that I decided to do so, so other people would be aware of this. ||||Seeing the other reviews, I understand that things changed drastically. We used to go to El- Plazza very often while we lived in Romania. That was 7 years ago. It used to be a wonderful place, very clean, comfortable, good food and the staff and the owners were professional and friendly.||||We are planning to visit Romania next month and we wanted to make a surprise to our parents and spend a few days together in Herculane, at El-Plazza. I called today to book the rooms, but the front-desk person was absolutely clueless, and he kept saying to me in a very rude tone, that I should write an e-mail (the reservation page on their website is not working) if I want to book the rooms. He had no idea if they had available rooms or not and did not bother to check either. He basically said that if I send the email or not is fine by him, he doesn’t care. Hahaha good way to treat your clients and make business! lol. Yep. We will definitely go...

We accommodate in El Plazza 7-8 years ago. We believe was the nicest location in Herculane, so ... we go there again and ... surprise! everything there it's messed up; the owner reconstruct the principal building and build some othoer two buildings, so ... from the big space, from 7 years ago, now everything is squeezed to the maximum. We accommodate in a suite with 2 rooms and 1 bathroom. I'm a big man, so a room which have a 2m/2m bed and 0.4m around that bad feels small to me; also the bathroom even ur a small guy, when u'll used the toilet, actually u'll be outside from the bathroom (doesn't matter ur size), no matter ur there for number 1 or number 2 job.||If u sleep with the window open, the smoke, from the central heating will choke u to death.||Every morning, if u pay for the breakfast, u'll receive eggs, and eggs, and eggs, and eggs, and eggs and eggs, cause we stay there "just" 7 nights. So our vacation was tiring.||Unfortunately in the direction is going this hotel is going also entire Herculane, so visit Herculane, Biger and Carsa waterfalls, but accommodate on "Cazanele Dunarii",...

This place have a great pavilion, terrace and pool which is situated in a incredible view near the mountains. The view from the pool is amazing you can stay in the pool to relax and watch mountains and nature around you, from the terrace to pool also same experience. Rooms are clean at least where I was accomodated, the owner clear and water every morning the whole place (pool, grass, trees, etc.) and maintain everything in great shape. Place owner is really polite and have a great conduct also have a great cute little dog what play a lot there. A small cons is about check out which is at 11AM and parking lot for only around 10 cars. This review is for the summer period (July).
