Olanesti Apartaments — Hotel in Băile Olănești

We came across this apartments while struggling to find a suitable accommodation for 3 adults and 2 children, this time of the year. ||Located in Olanesti, approximately 15-17 km away from Rm. Valcea city the hotel apartment is a nice surprise. Clearly not a hotel apartment or a B&B the place offers a kitchenette with few essentials, a queen size bed and a pull sofa. The bathroom is quite large and has towels, shower gel and soap. It was not enough for 5 people but we made it work.||We were fortunate enough to have our apartment on the last floor so the view was breathtaking and I would venture and say this is the main selling point of the place.||Somebody came during the day to remove the garbage but no other cleaning was done in the apartment.||The owner is a very nice and friendly lady with a relaxed attitude who is more than happy to assist.||There are few points that could make the place better:||- better driving directions. We have ended up in another place on the opposite direction of the road. GPS coordinates should do it.||- mosquito net at the balcony door. We couldn't leave the door open or all stay outside with the door open (to supervise the children) and that was sad.||- a little more cooking utensils in the kitchen||||The place offers parking but is limited and we had to double park. There are no services on site and no breakfast is offered but you can cook your own food. It's quiet. There is no elevator so it's not easy to access the apartments with an wheelchair. ||It was clearly value for money (around 50€ per night). It's a great place to relax for few days or longer and enjoy what Valcea and Olanesti have to offer.||I do recommend it and whenever I am back to Romania if I am in the area I...

The apartments are very spacious and clean. The staff is friendly. The complex has a good location, not very far from the town center, but far enough for quiet surroundings.||The furniture is mostly alright. Don't expect many features: no air-conditioning, hairdryer available on request. Cazare OK. Gazda ft amabila, camerele spatioase INSA sunt cateva chestii pe care eu nu le pot accepta. Prima chestie este canapeaua, antica, necuratata de ani de zile, se vede ca e ft veche. A doua este covorul din living, care ere extrem de prafuit, daca nu aveam papuci, nu as fi atins nimic. In baie am gasit fire de par, pe care le-am dat la o parte cu dusul. Dar cred ca peste asta trecem, problema cea mare este mirosul. Ferestrele nu sunt bine izolate, nu este vina gazdei. Insa se face condens, umiditatea este extraordinara, iar mirosul....e de groaza, nu se poate sta. Am stat cu geamurile deschise app tot timpul, e irespirabil. Am stat in camera 10 si nu stiu daca peste tot e la fel, dar fiecare camera avea miros specific. Poate doar am avut ghinion, dar nu pot sa dau recenzie maxima pentru mobila extrem de veche.
