Hotel Maria — Hotel in Botoșani

Situated in the center of the city , with private parking , very friendly staff! After almost 11 hours of driving we arrived at the hotel at 10:300-11:00 in the morning and we get the rooms right away (Check in was mentioned after 14:00 hour) We got a room amenities were varied, practically we needed only the clothes in rest we get everything. ||We were very pleased with the Hotel conditions , that you can see that was recently renovated but keeping the structure of the '80's. :)||In one of our booked rooms , the AC was malfunctioned , but it wasn't that bad, because we had not that hot weather.||The keys are a little hard to care around. I personal recommend an improvement of the room security system and change to a card access , easy to place on the wallet and also more quiet...

The hotel is placed in the center of the town of Botosani with a very nice view of the park. The hotel was before the 1989 revolution, the Communist Party Hotel in which all the high party members were accommodate. Since then nothing was changed. Not the furniture, not the service, not the construction. There is not an elevator in the hotel so someone who can not go up on the stairs is not able to reach a room on the first floor. Although the rooms and the bathrooms are very big, because the hotel has not an independent heating system, even on a cold day, as we were there, it was quite cold in the room and in the bathroom was so cold that we couldn't have a shower. You can't expect much for $50/night. This seemed like the best option in Botosani, but that's not saying much. Hotel is well located in the center of town, with easy parking. The bed was comfortable but the decor was very dated. The towels were not very soft, and there was only one bath towel. There was a hot water kettle and tea cups, but no packets of tea or coffee. The shower head was attached at a bizarre angle so that the water flowed horizontally. The breakfast was edible but nothing special, and the tiny cup of coffee was less than adequate.
