The good ones||+ very friendly staff; done a quick check-in, they’ve called taxis for me, they made sure I have everything I need and that everything was OK||+ from my room, altough it didn’t had a balcony (no problem for me), it was a great view over the city||+ big bed, very comfortable, good quality bedding||+ nothing to complain about cleanliness – the bed, the bathroom, the wardrobe, everything was very clean; they’ve emptied my bin and did a bit of cleaning while I was out, but all of my personal things remained untouched.||+ a quiet area||+ good, high-speed, password-free internet acces which I think had acces points for every floor||+ good value for money, and I’ve booked the room only a few days in advance||||The bad ones||- Big electrical problem in my room. From only one wall socket there were cables with no grounding wire running all across the room, with improvised plugs and extension cords which had the contacts so badly worn out that I had to push the plugs to various angles to make contact. I was really concerned about my laptop’s power adapter and my photo equipment chargers.||- Very little artificial light. Only one wall lamp and two small bed ones. But maybe that’s just for me…||- If you don’t have a car, it’s a location to be avoided. Despite the fact that is actually up on a hill and from the city center is a continuous climb, the acces way is very steep and so are the stair, both the outdoor and indoor ones. And it’s in a residential area, close to a main street but the public transport network is incomprehensible for a stranger, so it’s taxi or walk. ||||The ones which didn't affect me||- No air conditioning. If it was summer I'd definetely put this at the top of the bad ones||- The parking is tiny, only 3 or 4 cars||- No restaurant in it and none nearby. I ate with my friends in the city center, so no problem. Also I didn't take the breakfast||- Flat-screen but small and low-cost TV, with pretty bad signal and awful sound quality. But I didn't care, I don't watch TV||- the small fridge/minibar made an annoying buzz, and because of the electrical issue it was continuously restarting. I eventually unplugged it, I was only keeping some juice and...
Read moreWe had limited choices for places to stay in Cluj Napoca so we sort of had to take what we could find. Pension Cluj is a long way out from anywhere interesting in Cluj. The lady who served us was pretty disinterested in what she was doing and seemed bored with her job.||||Our room was across the street and was nothing special. The place was a studio apartment with a double bed and a single bed and a couch and there was a private bathroom. Overall the apartment was functional but nothing special. The WiFi was non-existent. When I asked about this, I got a shrug and not indication that the receptionist either cared or would do anything about it.||||There also appeared to be no air-conditioning in the room. This wasn't a huge problem for us as it was cold when we stayed but it might not be very comfortable in the hotter months.||||Overall the Pension Cluj wasn't terrible, but just nothing special. I would not recommend you stay here if you're looking for a centrally located place with interesting...
Read moreSunt proprietarul acetei locatii. In concret, au cerut voie sa manance in sala destinata micului dejun si li s-a aprobat.
