Pensiunea La Pedro — Hotel in Cluj Metropolitan Area

During my recent visit to the city, I opted to extend my stay by an additional night and chose this establishment for my accommodation. Overall, I found the experience to be satisfactory. The staff were exceptionally friendly, the coffee served was excellent, and the surrounding area was notably quiet, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. However, I did encounter a few issues that warrant mention. Despite the availability of rooms on the first floor, I was assigned to a room on the second floor (which, for American guests, is equivalent to the third floor). Additionally, there was a strong odor in the room, likely due to the cleaning chemicals used. I also noticed an abundance of ants and, to my dismay, a cockroach emerged from beneath the refrigerator. Speaking of the refrigerator, it was rather noisy during my stay. While these concerns are certainly noteworthy, I believe they are relatively minor and could be easily addressed by the management. Small rooms, hard beds, uncomfortable pillows. The "dining area" in the basement smells horribly and the staff was extremely unfriendly. ||||What topped this is the fact that I visited the hotel with the extended family for a yearly gathering; the owners were aware of this and said we can use their garden to sit and chat (there was also a place for the young ones to play). We found out that the garden was smaller than advertised and that actually the pension and the owners house share the same garden (pictures of the owners house not included on their website). That meant that at 10 pm, the owner chose to lock up his garden not to be disturbed by the clients who have payed for the full services of the pension. He would not reconsider. The garden was filled with toys that apparently belonged to his children and we were scolded for allowing the kids to use his toys.||||Would definitely not recommend to anyone as they have no shred respect for...

There's no way in hell I'll go back there. The staff was absolutely terrible (embarrassing lack of respect for clients) we couldn't find an explanation for their prices, there was no soap in the bathroom, the toilet was not disinfected, no parking lots available after 9 p.m. and my dog's cage is bigger then the room we were given. It is also warmer and cosier. I do not recommend this accommodation, the owner and the staff should be ashamed for providing such...
