Constanta is one of the most popular holiday destinations for Romanians and they flock there every summer. There are signs of the old Communist-era everywhere. The hotels have very little to attract wealthy Europeans, they are boring looking concrete buildings, built 40 to 50 years ago and lack the sophistication that most Europeans look for when choosing a hotel. The entire resort seems dated and needs to change. For example; there are more self-service restaurants than anything else. Constanta is a decade (or possibly two decades) behind other European resorts.Once you accept that you can enjoy your stay here.||||OK, it is not pretty - but that does not mean that it is not good. We had a large apartment style room on the 5th floor, overlooking the sea. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable - not luxurious. Certainly no grounds for complaint about the rooms.||||The pool is large but is spoilt by the fact that it has a concrete surround - which means the only way in and out is via the steps. With the sea so close by you have to wonder why they need a pool.||||The self-service breakfast was adequate, it was not fancy or well presented, it was... breakfast. The staff in the restaurant were kind and helpful.||||We ate here one evening and although the food was not inspiring, it was tasty and served quickly. ||||The hotel would not reach 4 stars in the UK, but is better than most 2 star hotels.||I have reviewed this hotel as Average as the next rating up is Very Good and I don't think it qualifies as Very Good. An honest review would be somewhere...
Read moreDO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. IT IS THE WORST 4 STAR HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT BLACK SEA. ||||They say it is a 4 star hotel, but the facilities, what they offer and all are better suited for 2 STARS.||||The restuarant food was digusting and expensive. Similar to students canteen but 10 times more expensive. And they only have like 3 waiters to serve a huge restaurant. Waiting time is more than 1 hour. AWFUL. ||||The parking is also bad. Not enough space for the quests. you end up having to park in front of other cars and leave your phone nr for someone to call you to move your car again.||||ROOMS are nothing special. The free amanities included in the bathroom are the worst quality, bring your own. The cleaning ladies DO NOT CLEAN THE ROOMS. they only change towels. AWFUL FOR A 4 STAR HOTEL. The beds are not confortable and have broken a few times during the 7 day stay. ||||THERE IS NO REEDIMING QUALITY FOR THIS HOTEL. It has ruined our black sea trip.STAY AWAY FROM THIESE...
