Hotel Europeca Craiova — Hotel in Craiova Metropolitan Area

So I stayed at the europeca for quite some time while on business. It started off as a good experience, but then things took a steep downward dive. Initially the food was good, but the quality quickly went down hill. With that being said the dining staff were friendly. ||There rooms are spacious and well kept. The down side to the seven story hotel is the rather frequent events they have to include weddings and proms. Regardless of your room being on the third or seventh floor you can feel the music which quickly become annoying and unbearable. This would be the worst part of staying at this hotel. Their complete and utter disregard for their customers. ||The hotel staff for the most part were friendly and competent. The manager was proven to be overly intrusive and a major issue would have been the fact that many people were given master keys, which you can see the issue with potential theft or unwanted company. ||The staff would certainly help you find whatever you needed. ||I would suggest staying here midweek, but never weekends if you enjoy sleep. Extremely outdated and cheap class hotel even for romanian standards. I genuinely thought this is a 4 star hotel when i booked it but turned out to be a complete scam. The two young guys at the front desk were bored out of their mind, barely saying anything to greet their customers, overall unprofessional. The heater in the room didn't work and a part of it that was suppose to be the cover was missing. We asked for a double room but in the room we had only one bathrobe one pair of slippers and one set of towels. The breakfast was by far the worst part. This supposedly 4star hotel provides a disgusting selection for breakfast. No fresh fruits, no fresh juice. Only eggs, omelette and sliced ham that was dry and darken at the edges a clear indication it was cut the previous day. No pastrys. No option for vegetarians. Just slices of bread ham and eggs. I cannot believe how this is a 4 star hotel, it cannot be!||Pros: the desk receptionist was really nice.|The terrace on the first floor was beautiful.|It is also situated in a central location. ||Cons:|The furniture is outdated.|Did not have an iron in the room.|The AC machine is from the 90s|The smell coming from the sewers was horrible! We were on the 5th floor. Ended up wetting a towel and putting over the drain, plus closed the door. That helped.|For a 4 star hotel, it didn't even provide shower gel. There were 2 packs of shower gel and that was it.|Also, the duvet was not covered in any sheets. So you can imagine that it wasn't washed after others used it and just popped back in the wardrobe.|There was also a bug in the room. The light was flicking in the hallway.
