Things looked quite good upon arrival.||Few minutes after, everything went downhill...|| ||ROOMS:||||no carpet on the floor, stained bed covers, nicked floor tiles.||Room temperature was supposed to be 23 degrees, was not even close to 18, as it was blowing only cold air...in JANUARY!!!||Contacted reception a couple of times, and was announced that a technician would have a look at our room heater. He did indeed, although it wasn't any major change in the temperature. In the end we needed to sleep with the bathrobes on top of our pijamas.||The following day we asked almost everybody that we came in contact with, if their room temperature was fine that night :EVERYBODY SAID THAT THEY WERE FREEZING.||||But everybody answered with the typical romanian sentence "oh well, it is what it is, what can we do". COMPLAIN.Ask for refund! That's what everybody should do with scammers.||||Paying 70 euros for this type of sleep quality is OUTRAGEOUS.||||Bathrooms had 2 of the most cheapest washing gels ever. And yes, it was just a washing gel, no shampoo. The type of washing gel that you dilute with water, so you can save a bit on the hotel's expenses.||Bathrobe and towels seemed of pretty decent quality.||||POOLS:||First of all, let me tell you that the pool areas are NOT SAFE!Floor is ridiculously slippery!||Also, since it's a SPA hotel, clearly the hotel management has no idea whatsoever about how a SPA hotel should look and function.||Thermal pool area was full of children. They never bothered me, but created havoc amongst the older guests.KIDS a certain age should not be allowed in spa areas.Check any respectable SPA resort, in Romania or outside...||||Downstairs pool, ridiculously claustrophobic, full of people, during COVID pandemic. They had a cleaning and desinfecting schedule, that nobody seemed to care about. When asking the cleaning ladies why are they not desinfecting the area, they replied "Well, if the people don't get out, we won't clean" LOL.||I suggested they talk with a superior and let him/her take the responsability to let people know they need to ge out.Simple.They just walked away carelessly as they came.||||Big pool was closed/empty, as that was one of the main reasons why guests gathered and filled the other 2 pools.|| ||I have to admit i did see one young man, constantly having a look around and desinfecting door knobs and stuff in the toilets area.I consider that a plus.||||RESTAURANT: I have 2 words to describe it: RIP OFF!||We only had a halfboard, so dinner was not included, and we decided that we're gonna have our dinner in the hotel's restaurant.||They ask 55 lei for 4 dinner options : meals consisting one of potatoes and another one of some boiled/steamed vegetables, ,1 consisting of boiled sausages and the other one of some schnitzel looking thing.||||For the entire group we would have spent 275 lei for a limited dinner course, with little presentation or option to choose from.Instead we went outside the hotel in a nearby restaurant, and we spent 150 lei, which included starters, main meal, dessert and drinks, for all of us.||||The breakfast was also a low budget one.Nothing fancy, nothing looking near a 4 star hotel menu.||OH!And everybody in the restaurant had their jacket on!||OUTRAGEOUS QUALITY OF SERVICE AND AMENITIES.||We would never return here...
Read moreI have been to Germisara for a short visit, for the open air pool with an incredible view.||Room_ room needs refurbishment, carpets outdated, no body cream which is normally for a 4 star hotel, except the new bathrobes, towels are rugged, I believe they have not been changed for years, improper for a spa hotel. ||The small chair is broken, the lampshades were dirty, the stand lamp was not working.||The carpet on the floor needs to be changed too.||||Spa - ||||The Spa needs real changes in administration.||First of all this is a spa, so the idea of spa is improper to the administration. I tend to believe the Spa has been designed with predilection for hotel use only. We found battalions of people with small kids, yelling and jumping all over the place, most of them clients outside the hotel. ||We wonder paying 80 Eur per room if this was included in the spa relaxing idea package. There were moments when pools looked like sardine boxes. Probably the idea of spa is not too familiar to the management and I may suggest them change something. In many places children are not allowed under certain age.||There is no gel case in shower cabins either. ||||Food- the restaurant is nice, with menu a la carte in weekend only, which is improper for such a hotel.||In rest, there is a buffet served both at lunch and at dinner.||This has to be improved, for the choice is not at expectations of a 4* hotel. One day they had a good cook, I understood he was a young chef with passion, therefore food was tasty, but the next day was the day after. We could eat almost nothing. Food was terrible, except cakes, so the lack of a menu a la carte was catching people from behind. ||The restaurant room was hot and full, but they had a door leading to another room with far better conditions, opened only in the morning. That door was closed, so we were told to ask the chief of staff to open it for us that evening. A young boy showed up, his name was Alex, that refused to open the door, telling us that we should feel comfortable in the boiling restaurant. We refused and just when we were on the verge of giving up arguing with him and leave, a well mannered boy with a beard named Claudiu managed the situation in a professional manner.||I believe the management should be more careful in selecting their human resources. ||My suggestion is they should serve on every day the menu a la carte, normal for a 4* hotel and to select the right people in right places. This buffet approach the way it is handled at this moment will drive this hotel close to a mall standard canteen, not a 4* hotel restaurant. ||These remarks are for the benefit of hotel management to restore the services to the star rating class unless is not too late. Hotel is too good in position to lose its class due to errors that can be easily...
Read moreWe called one week before arrival that outside pool would be open. Receptionist told that it would be open. We arrived To hotel and first of all we asked if they have available rooms with balcony. You man Who was working In the reception and I guess hates his work said no before even checking. After couple of More questions he found rooms with balconies. We asked him again that the outside pool is open and he told that no, it has been closed two weeks ago. His attitude was really really rude. He doesnt fit To work with customers. I asked from him that could he give frontdesk managers phone number because he wasn't working anymore and he was pointing To some corner and said that you can get it from there. I told him that maybe you can get up from the chair with your ass and get me the number. We chose this hotel because of outside pool. Then the receptionist told that the restaurant is not open until 7 P. M. So its not possible to get food before that. Also there is no bar by the pool. If you want To get drinks you can go To ask from reception really basic things. After calling To frontdesk manager, he was sorry and said that should they tell In advance to all of their customers that they have promised that the pool is open, that it's closed. I said that of course, if you have promised that and people is travelling long distances to their hotel. Frontdesk manager showed also really bad attitude. There is only two really small pools that are full of people, no space To swim. Floor tiles are super slippery all over and really dangerous. In any other european country they would not be allowed. People was sliding all over the place. Rooms are small and old. Far away from 4 stars. More like 2+ or 3 star hotel. Never waste your money or time to this place. All they want is your money. They dont care to please the customers. The worst hotel ever, it's not even spa hotel, just a...
