Restaurant Ciuperca — Hotel in Hunedoara

Pros: 👉 not that expensive for 3 people in an apartment 👉 decent looking large rooms with a balcony with a nice view of the setting sun (Western side rooms) 👉 decent food. Cons: ☓ average to poor cleaning in the bathroom (shower cabin had green stuff in the corners) ☓ bathroom toilet drain leaking for some time ☓ no air conditioner

The hotel itself looks decent, quite beautiful, if a bit old and not very well taken care of. I stayed for a night in an apartment, it had a balcony that was situated on the western side, thus a lot of sun exposure. This wasn't a problem, as I stayed in May when the temperatures weren't that high. However, taking into account that this hotel does not have air conditioning, rooms could get very warm, so beware of this! Rooms were big, which is a positive, pretty nicely decorated but, again, they look a bit old and not very well taken care of. The apartment has 2 pretty large rooms and a large bathroom with a shower cabin. Each room had a TV 📺, albeit a very small one and there was only one remote controller. In each room there was a double bed 🛏, which is a plus,but that was let down by the poor quality mattresses. I could feel the springs when sleeping. 😒 Other than that, the bed sheets were clean and some clean towels were also provided. Not to forget the bar of soaps, however there wasn't any bar soap holder in the bathroom. The toilet had a leaking problem, whatever was flushed was leaking on the bathroom floor, which, as you imagine, isn't really hygienic. This problem isn't new, as when I had arrived I noticed the marks on the floor from the previous leakage. The shower cabin wasn't thoroughly cleaned at the edges of the cabin panels as there seemed to be some sort of green stuff in there, maybe mold or fungus (well, it is called Ciuperca 🍄, isn't it?) , I didn't take a good look at it. Under the bathroom window, on the tiles on the wall there was dust. This hotel also has a pretty large pool that I haven't used, yet it is a plus. It also has a restaurant and I ate there two times. It was good, I can't complain. Serving could be a bit better, as the girl over there seemed to forget about me at one time. They seem to be lacking employees. Cazare 2 nopți. vineri - duminică. 2 adulți și 2 copii. Camera tripla et. 2 în "capătul grădinii" chiar dacă mai erau camere libere în hotel. Nimeni nu se prezintă, nu îți dă un număr de telefon pt orice eventualitate, nu completezi fisa de cazare. În camera și baie niciun pahar pt apa. Pete pe mocheta din camera. Mocheta murdara cu urme vechi care nu au fost curățate. Ușa la frigider mic avea suportul sticlei de apa rupt și când deschideam ușa tot timpul sticla cădea. Balconul murdar, antic vechi și de demult. Nu exista sarma de rufe. Apa când merge la baia vecina se aude prin pereți ca la tine în camera, la fel și orice sunet. La piscina e mizerie pe lângă șezlonguri, lucruri lăsate în neștire, am găsit chiar și o pioneza. Lucruri vechi, uzate și mizerabile. Piscina nu părea curățată de curând, au acces și alte persoane, care nu sunt cazate, rromi din localitatile vecine, desigur comportamentul și limbajul lasă de dorit. Aer condiționat este contracost 30 lei/zi, însă funcționează pe etaj, se pornește doar dacă vor și alti vecini, altfel stai și suferi de cald atat ziua și noaptea întrucât nu ai aparat și telecomanda la tine în camera decât găurile de ventilație. Salteaua e distrusa, se aud arcurile de zici ca acum iasă, rămâne groapă unde dormi pe ea parca are memorie. Piscina are 1.60 adâncime peste tot, nu se poate folosi de copii care nu știu sa înoate decât dacă au colac sau aripioare. 15 lei/zi dacă faci rezervare prin booking și gratis dacă faci rezervare telefonic la hotel. Cred ca transparenta asta e lucru greu de realizat. Sâmbăta seara a fost o nunta la restaurantul hotelului, desigur cu somnul a fost mai greu, muzica se aude pana în cameră. Nuntașii urla ca în padure când iasă de la chef. La prânz dacă vrei sa te odihnești nu prea e liniște nici pe holul hotelului pt ca angajatele vorbesc tare și nu pun preț pe liniștea ta, pt ele nu prea exiști. Ultima zi am vrut sa mai stam la piscina după ce am eliberat camera la 12 și au spus ca putem sta pana la 16 apoi la 11.30 vin sa ne spuna ca trebuie sa eliberam piscina ca vine o tabăra de copii și trebuie sa facă curățenie. Dezorganizat loc, nu credeam as vad ca unii fac doar o afacere din asta fără a se implica sa îți facă șederea mai plăcută, ca în gara iei bilet și zborul în tren. Au fost și câteva lucruri plăcute : baia spațioasă, frumoasa și curată, patronul de omenie, în seaea cu nunta când ne-am întors la hotel nu aveam loc de parcare, dar el si-a scos mașina și m-a lăsat pe mine. Cam atat. Nu recomand, eu personal nu as mai veni. Trebuie putin suflet pus în toată treaba asta, nu doar...

The location is greate, near of Chizid forest and Zoo, having clean air and coolness (you melt down in the city), up high on a hill, having Hunedoara town on your feet. The outside of the hotel and the terace need some aesthetics repairs, but the inside is ok : spacious and clean rooms, with balcony, comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. Near the terace is a big pool with sunbeds, where you can swim and cool down. The strength of the hotel is the restaurant, where you can eat incredible well. The menu is varied (romanian, italian, chinese cuisine) and bigger then other restaurants of town.
