An oasis of peace and comfort in Vama Veche!
I initially got recommended this place by friends, and I loved every moment here, as soon as I arrived. Here's why: spacious camping slots as well as lodging available, so tent, van or room, the place has you covered whatever your preferred accommodation; quite affordable pricing for each of these options; a lot of green space and shade (tress, grass, covered terraces, hammocks) which was great for my sun-fatigued brain to rest when not on the beach; an outdoor grill and indoor kitchen (incl fridge and oven), meaning you can prepare whatever food you want, be it an omelet breakfast or barbecue&beers; 15 minutes walking distance from the beach, you can easily swap between resting in the shade and beach sunbathing/partying whenever you want; sauna and jacuzzi barrel "ciubar" onsite, you'll have a chance to literally blow off steam in the evening or if the weather is moody; very pleasant music, one of the host maintains a playlist of oldies and chill music; all is played at a decent background level, meaning most importantly you won't have to contend with 10 different groups playing their own and arguing about it (it's one of the rules); very clean facilities (hot showers, toilets); and last but not least, hosts are very welcoming, they're a family and will make you feel part of the family so long as you mind the rules onsite;
Been twice this year, and I'll do it again...
Read moreThis is the "place to be" if you are visiting Vama Veche (Vama Veche means 'Old Border').
This place resemblance the old spirit of Vama Veche (when it was cheaper to make friends than it is today). Great for families,groups, but also for solo travelers.
They have the best prices in Vama Veche, and it is also one of the very few spots where you can get shadow during the day, which is very handy when outside are around 36-38 degrees Celsius. This is a bit of anomaly, since they have better prices than the supermarkets have in the area, for coffee, beer and water.
It is also one of the very few places in Vama where you have a lot of space, the property has around 20 000 square meters, while most of the properties in the area are about 300-500 square meters.
I would change only one thing: it would be great if they would be serving coffee before 6h30 AM, since I am a morning person. So, if you are a morning person wanting to enjoy coffee before 6:30 AM, you will have to wait for 7 AM.
Anyway - this is the place to be in Vama Veche, try it and see for yourself, you won't be...
Read moreI have not been camping for many many years but the experience here was of a kind to convince me experiencing this again every once in a while.||The camping is large and you can even find spots with trees and some shade for your tent. You can also come with your van or trailer trailer. I especially appreciated the fact that I could take my car inside the camping and place it next to my tent which was very handy.||The place is guarded by night, it has clean showers and toilets, a barbecue, a small bar, free wifi, refrigerators, a sort of a gazeebo with tables and you can also find accomodation on the premises.||It;s cheaper than other campings and it is not located very far from the sea or the centre of Vama Veche.||For me it was a good experience and I would go there again.||It would have been nice if it had a few more trees but there are other more expensive campings which don't even have...
