Sunquest — Hotel in Mangalia

The hotel is preety good in a zone where there is clearly 0 investement.||The hotel is self is clean, plenty of parking spots.||Nice ambiance with the little decorative figures and the sound of pouring water in the lobby.||I will rate it 10/10 for cleanliness.||The staff is awesome, very informative, they give you every piece of information you require, regarding facilities, those that aren't written on a huge board for everyone to see in the lobby anyway||The restaurant staff is also very helpfull and some might appear tired and fed up but they will always be there to help.||Being understaffed, they are doing a great job.||Food was ok-good. Here im being objective, overall it was good, because taste differs from individual to individual.||The pool area is very very clean and with 1 kiddy pool and 1 jaccuzi. The pool area though is made up of the same slippery floor as in any romanian hotel so watch your step.||Hotel is like 3 minutes walk from the sea shore where you have 2 seabeds and umbrella for free, but if you want very good beach area with waveless sea and clear waters its a 7 8 minute walk in a "no sea beds zone"||Wi-fi is above average with dome interruptions in signal waves.||A downside of the double rooms is the size of them. Furniture covers too much of its space. Also the balcony is very small but thats not really a downside, since you come to the room to rest not to lay in the sun on the balcony.||Lobby is very spacious and it has plenty of room and places to sit aswell as a baby cart parking zone ( yeah you read right, baby cart parking zone).||Overall i recommend this hotel especaially if you have children or you are on a 2 3 days business trip.||Summary: location 8/10 , food&bev 7.5/10 , staff 10/10, service 10/10 , cleanliness 10/10, rooms 8/10,.||I would visit this hotel...

There are places you fall in love from the first sight, places where you arrive and you feel like you could stay for a very long time… The hotel is an old post-communist building, but the owners, management and the staff have done everything possible to make it nice and they have been very successful. The first impression is the area around the hotel, which looks like a small park, with beautiful trees, little palms and other plants carefully selected and nicely composed. You have little fountains with sculptures of birds, and a little walking bridge before the entrance. At the reception you are greeted with a charming smile and these smiles you will find everywhere later at the restaurant, bar, on the faces of cleaning ladies. Another pleasant surprise is awaiting you in the room – a bottle of local sparkling wine and a chocolate bar. The room is modest, but has a large fridge a nice balcony, with 2 wooden chairs and a small table. The air conditioner is very quiet and effective. My room on the 4th floor had a sea view. The beach is within 5 minutes walk. The food in the restaurant is good, tasty and fresh, but not very sophisticated. Although there is no buffet for breakfast, the selection of items you can order is large and the service is extremely efficient. You should definitely try the omelet with cheese. The hotel has a very nice and clean swimming pool with a bar. Last but not least, cleanliness is another very strong point of the place. Bun ... sa incepem zic , dupa cum stim traditia romaneasca e sa ne batem joc de clienti cat de mult putem , treaba asta se practica peste tot prin Romania indiferent unde ajungi si indiferent de locatie iar Sunquest se pare ca nu a reusit sa fie diferit desi are foarte multe recenzii bune , sa va spun de ce . Pai sa incepem cu check in-ul , stiu ca in regim hotelier check in-ul se face mai tarziu decat check out-ul si este corect , trebuie facut curat in camera dupa diverse personalitati mai putin educate , ce nu inteleg eu este de ce au ales sa se faca check in-ul la ora 16 in conditiile in care ziua este platita si in conditiile in care exista turisti care vin de la 800 km la aceasta cazare ! Chiar nu realizati ca oamenii aceia sunt plecati cu noaptea in cap iar cand ajung vor sa fie cazati nu sa stea sa o lalaie prin fata hotelului asteaptand sa se elibereze o amarata de camera platita in avans !? In cazul meu cazarea s-a facut la ora 14 desi eu am ajuns la ora 9 in statiune ,cum am zis si in discutia cu doamnele de la receptie , daca aveti rulaj de turisti, realizati check out-ul la ora 10 si check-inul la 12 nu e foarte greu de implementat treaba asta si este si in avantajul hotelului cat si al turistului ! Personalul este amabil si comunicativ , sunt deschisi in rezolvarea problemelor dar doar verbal , fizic nu se intampla nimic si asta o spun oamenii care vin de ceva vreme la aceasta locatie . Camerele sunt mici , patul din camera dubla este foarte mic , la baie nu am gasit prosoape , dusul este foarte mic iar din motivul asta toata apa se scurge pe jos si ramane acolo din cauza scurgerii efectuate foarte prost ! Hotelul este curatel , lifturile sunt jalnice eu nu stiu cum de nu au ramas turisti blocati inauntru ! Piscina , o daaaa piscina , ea aduce toate recenziile bune locatiei , alunecoasa pe margine (un real pericol pentru cei mici ) , scarile de acces in piscina sunt subrede , am simtit o oarecare frica ca vor ceda sub greutatea mea , in mare parte pe langa piscina exista multa mizerie cazuta din copaci (niste bilute mici pe care mersul este destul de incomod )in 4 zile cat am fost cazat , am vazut o singura data un angajat sa dea cu matura ! Restaurantul este ok , mancarea buna , preturile foarte mari iar programul de functionare parca ar fi de pe vremea lui nea Nicu la intervale fixe ! Parcarea hotelului este nesigura , am stat de vorba cu turisti care au gasit masina lovita in parcare , cu toate camerele de supraveghere nu au reusit sa afle cine a fost vinovatul ! Plaja hotelului este un cosmar , nu exista organziare , nu exista nimic , sunt oameni care vin de la ora 5 dimineata chiar si cu o seara in urma si lasa prosoape pe sezlonguri blocand astfel accesul celorlalti la sezlonguri , sunt familii de doua persoane si un copil care stau pe 4 sezlonguri desi pentru fiecare camera sunt alocate 2 sezlonguri , din cauza asta pe plaja ies discutii in toata regula nesimtirea afisata de unele persoane este la cote maxime , angajatul hotelului responsabil pentru organizarea plajei este inexistent , in apa este plin de bolovani si ai ocazia sa-ti rupi picioarele platind pentru acest lucru, ca un exemplu apa din fata plajei gestionate de hotelul Mera este curata si fara bolovani ! Pe plaja nu exista un bar , nu exista muzica , muzica o auzi de la platourile de filmare Razvan si Dani ... Mai e mult de lucru , un pic mai multa atentie din partea hotelului ,(sunt multi turisti necivilizati ) iar daca nu exista niste reguli clare si organizare acesti turisti vor face praf vacanta celorlalti ! Apreciez gesturile mici de genul ciocolata cadou lasata pe masuta din camera , dar din pacate restul problemelor umbresc aceste...
