La Strada Boutique Villa — Hotel in Pitești

WARNING - READ IF BOOKING FOR BUSINESS (read whole review)

Advertised 'suite', which we booked. Upon arrival found it to be a room and the hotel had no suites. When raising this in a friendly way to point out that they had used the wrong word they were INCREDIBLY argumentative, which was bizarre when we said we'd give them a try. They proceeded to be very (comically) rude to us at the restaurant, literally throwing a plate on our table as they walked past with no eye contact instead of serving us in a normal way.

We contacted expedia, who we booked the hotel with, who told us that indeed we did book a suite and the hotel did not have a suite. Expedia brilliantly apologised and moved us from the hotel into a more expensive hotel, and they paid the difference.

This was a business trip. I would strongly advise against booking a business trip to this hotel to avoid the risk of being embarrassed infront of clients/colleagues. No apology or remorse from the hotel.

We were always very polite and tipped generously, 30%+ value of meal including wine, as we did not want to influence their behaviour so that we were better placed to give the hotel an accurate review despite being mistreated. We had a wonderful experience during our short stay at the hotel, which served as a restful stop on our family’s holiday journey.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the hotel’s interior. From the softly lit and serene lobby to the spacious, thoughtfully designed rooms, every detail contributed to a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Whether it was the large, cozy beds, modern bathrooms, or the small touches like complimentary coffee and tea, everything exceeded our expectations.

The service was equally impressive. The staff were friendly, approachable, and highly customer-oriented. Their professionalism and fluency in English made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived.

The hotel's location is also worth mentioning—ideally situated near the city center, with easy access to cafés, fast food and restaurant options, and local markets.

Over all good. Everything on the menu in the restaurant was good. Overall staff was great with the exception of on of the waiters and older male waiter that seemed to hate his Job. He really made the dinning experience bad. I went else ware for dinner when he was working. The rooms were nice. The water closet door would not open all the way. I had to completely enter the room and close the door to access the toilet. The mattress in my room felt very firm in the center with holes on the edges making it difficult to sleep well.
