Hotel Tiara — Hotel in Ploiești

The hotel is so extremely out of date it's unbelievable. The rooms furniture, fittings, fixtures & decor look around 50 years old at least. The hotel is cheap and nasty!||I stayed in two rooms over 7 days. The first room was the most expense (& the worst). It was an apartment style room, separate living room & bedroom but the decor & furniture was surreal, it was like stepping back in time. The floor boards creaked, the rugs were worn out, it was dark and eery. ||The second room was cheaper, smaller & generally nicer than the first but again was so badly out-of-date!||The rooms felt generally unsafe too. No dead bolt / latch on the doors. The cleaners strolled into my room twice during my stay whilst I was inside - I had to let out a shout to stop them from entering all the way. An uneasy & rather unsafe feeling in a hotel makes for an uncomfortable stay in general. ||Breakfast = Poor. Pre toasted bread sitting cold in a basket, natural yoghurt that had passed it's sell-by date by a couple weeks, warm milk for your cereal & a half cooked egg if your very lucky. A poor attempt at breakfast by anyone's standards.||Lunch/Evening meal = non existent.||Location = Excellent. It's in the heart of town. Great restaurants, pubs, clubs, shopping centres etc all within a 2 mile radius. ||Staff = average. Checking out is done by paper & pen as opposed to a PC being used. This is VERY inefficient & took almost 35mins for the receptionist to work out all you're charges etc on a calculator. ||All in all it's a very poor hotel & I do not recommend...

The only good thing about this place is the location, it's as central as it could be.||Other than that, stay away. Don't be fooled by the reception hall because that is the only space that looks decent. The rooms are just awful, haven't been painted in a very long time. The carpets are stained and smelly, the walls are dirty, the locks are very shakey and the doors are drafty (which is extremely unpleasant given the polluted air, with oil refineries in the city's vicinity), the bathroom fixtures are old and rusty, the floor creaks, the service is poor. It is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel, but the tobacco stench was everywere and the room had an ashtray !! There is no way this could be a 3 stars hotel, it barely deserves one star! ||Overall, very pricy rooms in exchange for what this outdated hotel...

Last week i stayed with a friend and my friend gave a middle star for hotel ( the lady in reception told me) this week we stayed with another friend and the lady didnt like it and she warned us next time we shouldnt come to this hotel. I told her that my friend gave low point for only furnitures ( which is relativ for every person ) not for the employees. But she was furios at us she told us to go to hotel central which costs 500 lei per day to be comfortoble with the furnitures. Its not nice for her to told us this. Not professional, Not hospitable.. And we stayed all around Romania and we know romanian people are not like her. We love Romania and...
