I've never had such mixed feelings about a hotel like I had for Hotel Dana II. I know it sounds stupid, but I absolutely appreciate what they did with a classical old building. I you know this type of constructions, you'll understand what I mean.||But let's start from the beginning: I had to postpone my stay with a night, so I called the hotel, and the staff was kind enough to do that for me without much comment. After arriving at the hotel, I noticed that there isn't a separate parking other then the one on the street, where everyone else can park. I guess it's my mistake that I didn't check, but after about 2 hours there were plenty of parking space right in front of the hotel.||The hotel rooms all have windows around the covered swimming pool and absolutely no access to the outside, which can really make people claustrophobic inside the room. Also, the sound of loud talks was strongly heard throughout the hotel. ||Furniture isn't that old, but it has seen better days. It's in good shape, but all surfaces are really worn out. Minibar is usual for a hotel, but I didn't like the bathroom at all. It was big with a bath tub, but it reminded me of a communist bathroom. ||Like I said, swimming pool is inside the hotel lobby and visible to at least 2 levels of lobby, so everyone ended having to look at the people at the swimming pool, whether they like it or not.||The restaurant was very good, many choices, and a very helpful staff.||All-in-all a nicely made hotel, but probably think about it twice to choose it again (strictly because most of the rooms have no...
Read moreI have been into this hotel for a business trip. As soon as I entered into this hotel, I got the positive feeling about the staff co-operation. I reached there via taxi and as I had dollars and not there Local currency, the tall person on the reception helped me by giving RONs to the taxi driver. He also helped me in other things and it seems that he is the only guy in this hotel who was helpful. My room was on 2nd floor and there was no elevator in this hotel. My room had some temperature problems. I told some other person on the reception and he asked me that they have called the technician and this problem will be fixed within a day. But after 2-3 days the problem was still there and I asked them to change my room but the person on the reception told me that they have no alternate and I have to adjust. Finally after some heated argument he provided me with a Table fan. Not many option available in breakfast too though they have an in-built swimming pool which is nice. Overall an...
Read moreWe were guests in room no 103 during the summer of 2023 while we visited Satu Mare, super excited to have the room with the best balcony view. :)
Unfortunately, the room lacked proper cleaning, there was a bag full of garbage inside the closet, dust on the keyhole and plastic wrappings inside the drain... Everything in the hotel is outdated and definitely needs a remodel.
Staff wise, I think they had their best intentions, but wearing a miniskirt and looking like you haven't slept in days is not appropriate for a...
